It’s light weight and easy to pack. I’ve taken it on several trips and hikes. It works well in light to moderate rain. It got soaked in a pouring rainstorm and took awhile to dry afterwards. It’s durable, has decent pockets and zippers work great!

Took it with me on a trip to Norway, where weather is pretty wild especially during summer. It was lightweight enough that I could pack it in my backpack daily and it didnt take up too much space. Could whip it out easily and quickly every time it started drizzling/raining. It fit very well over my clothes and wasnt bulky at all. Kept me completely dry. Works well as an outer shell to keep you dry, but not to keep you warm. So I would say get it if you need it for a trip somewhere warm and humid, like the Caribbean or Florida, but not necessarily if you want to keep warm AND dry. ... show more

I adore everything about this raincoat - it is super light, material feels good and is waterPROOF, has great pockets, beautiful color of cornflower blue. Everything would be absolutely perfect but for the size (not the raincoat’s fault)! Amazon had recommended extra extra large “based on previous purchases”. Well, the arms hang down about five inches from my fingertips and you can only squeeze the Velcro so far…. The bulk and length of the jacket also are large, but do-able. Since it was a relatively long delivery time for Amazon, the coat didn’t arrive until three days before I leave for a three-week trip to a place where it reportedly rains every day. No time to send back and receive smaller size - so I’ll just have to roll the sleeves up on this otherwise beautiful coat. ... show more

It keeps my dry. It's flattering, lightweight, and fairly priced. No insulation, so good for warm weather. When it's wet, it feels cool, so dress accordingly underneath. My only gripe is that the hood doesn't stay up when my hair is up, which I prefer on rainy days, or when it's windy. I wish the hood was a little bigger with a drawstring - something to look for elsewhere after this one wears out. ... show more

I like the Columbia brand jackets, in fact one that was my favorite was stolen at church! I wanted a white windbreaker to wear in the spring/summer while walking, and light weight enough to take on trips. This suits my purpose and expectations. To me it runs a little small, so I'm glad I sized up to a medium which was fine. Concerning lack of lining and making you sweat, I wrote this review after wearing it for an afternoon of walking and errands. I may have been a little more damp under the arms, but no where near sticking to my arms and being totally soaked. Go by your own physical constitution; if you tend to get over heated quickly and sweat easily, this jacket may not be the choice for you.
