Received this jacket as a gift a few years ago. I would wear it a few times a year and back into the closet it would go. Pulled it out today and the collar has disintegrated. It was a very nice looking jacket and fit very well but the vegan material only lasted about 7 years. I will not buy one again. I realize it's not leather but I would expect it to last longer especially considering it wasn't worn very often and definitely not in any extreme situations. ... show more

    • This runs large, is very heavy weight and a boxy cut.

First the Pro's. It seems well made. The materials feel good. And, If you want a warmer jacket, it's very heavy and quilted inside. If you have a thicker waist or a boxy build this would be great. It's not a good cut for long thin guys... or short thin guys either. The Con's, While the body runs large the sleeves seem short. It's good for someone heavier but it's not nearly as long and lean looking in real life as it is in the pictures. My son is 5'9" and about 160 and this wouldn't come close to fitting him. The large was built for someone with a much bigger waistline and shorter arms. I did have to return it. The large looked almost ok on my ex husband, who is 6'1, but it ran loose on the waist for him too and just a little short in the sleeve. It's a weird over all shape. As a longtime vegan, I loved the fit and look of this distinguished jacket, which I wore for several years, until the faux leather material started to degrade around the collar as another reviewer noted. It started to look ratty and became unwearable. Although I took good care of the jacket and never wore it in the rain, I suspect the degrading was due to the natural oils of my skin. It is possible that wearing a scarf for protection might help slow the flaking of the material around the collar. I contacted customer service at Cole Haan and was completely rebuffed; they refused to replace the jacket or issue me a refund. I will never buy a Cole Haan product again, since customer service is as important to me as the quality of the products (or lack thereof) a company sells. ... show more
