kind of expensive. but there is really no substitute for it's intended purpose that i could find. one tube does not go very far. i needed to purchase a second tube for one sliding door gasket.

There are no instructions with regard to how to apply to a vinyl surface (brush?, finger?) or how much working time you have before the glue cures. The vinyl door gasket this is specified for is over 6 feet in length. There is no way to apply the adhesive smoothly and evenly over either surface without the adhesive drying first. If I had to do it over, I would know what to do for it to be "perfect". Evidently, neither the manufacturer of the adhesive, nor the manufacturer of the door gasket care that you install it right. The lack of any helpful guidance is a very poor way to treat a customer using the product for the first time. ... show more

    • Wrong product for the wrong application?
I have to replace one of the weather-strips on a series 400 slider, so I bought the part and the glue from the manufacturer. I figured that way, things should go smooth. The strip is 8' long, and when you apply the glue, by the time you get to foot #4 the stuff has dried out at foot #1. The work-time is woefully inadequate. It does not stick (at all) to the weather-strip, but it does leave a mess on the door-post. I'll try contact cement next, it should work if I can get the strip to line up nicely (the 8' rigid seal arrived folded over into a 4' tube so now there's a big crease right in the middle), but this glue is just not what would work in this application. ... show more
