As inexpensive as this griddle is compared to most other similar ones out there (like Coleman), this is really a good deal. It fits really nicely over the Coleman Triton 2-Burner stove (with igniter or without) and, though it will not store inside the stove, it does store nicely in the medium stove carrying case with the stove. As far as cooking, it really works well as long as you understand that it isn't cast iron. Since this is cast aluminum, it will heat up very quickly and it will not retain it well. For this reason, I can think of no reason why I would recommend ever using it with the heat of your grill or stove (camping) at it's highest. The only possible exception would be if you are cooking a steak and you like yours rare to medium-rare and just wanted to sear them for a minute or two on each side. If you attempt to cook bacon or eggs on the same heat you will obliterate them before you realize it. The non-stick surface has worked very well for me and I can typically clean this up with a paper towel which is really nice when your camping. Just realize that you should use non-stick utensils or you will scratch the surface. I have scratched mine but not badly and it still works like knew. The coating hasn't showed any flaking or pealing whatsoever.

I almost didn't buy it because of the price. I'm so glad I did. The griddle is so lightweight, fits great in my camping box, and the best non-stick pan I've ever used. The griddle replaced my coleman camping pans. First use I made a whole tube of chorizo, a bag of frozen cajun potatoes from Trader Joe's and 7 eggs. It was so easy to clean. I love it. Buy it!

Purchased this on a whim for use on a weekend camping trip with my sons Cub Scout pack. It arrived with a few scratches on the Teflon (hence only 4 stars), but I didn’t have time to return it before the trip so I kept it. It’s lightweight which is an added plus, especially when dragging a bunch of stuff camping, the lighter the better. We used it on an outdoor portable camping stove to make pancakes. It was easy for the kids to cook on, heat distributed evenly and it’s definitely non stick. After our camping trip I decided to try to use it on my kitchen stove to make pancakes and it worked great. It fits nicely over two burners inside and makes it easier to make more pancakes at a time verse cooking in a frying pan. It’s super easy to clean and flat so easy to store. Very versatile and can definitely be used to make much more than just pancakes. Highly recommend, hopefully yours comes unscratched.

excellent for the grill or camp fire.

I use the on the open flame of my bbq grill. I cook with propane gas on high heat. My favorite dish cooked on this pan is country fried steak aka cubed steak. When I am in a hurry (that is always) I turn the gas on full throttle pour an ounce or two of cooking oil on the griddle. Within a few minutes my griddle is at 450 to 500 degrees F. Sometimes it flames up but that is fine. The coating does not come off and shows no sign of damage. I have repeated this process many times with great success. If everyone wants to come over for a sample I will unwrap the other griddle. I can cook at least four steaks at a time on one griddle. If I put both griddles on the fire I could cook enough for a party.

Worked well. It's aluminum, so heat distribution to middle of griddle can be a bit low, but it worked well. Fits on Coleman white gas stove without problems. There were a few aluminum edge shavings that I had to remove, so just check it out before using, but not a big deal at all. UPDATE: Still going strong. Have used it multiple times this summer (its a few years old now), and just came back from another trip that it had multiple day use (sometimes 2x a day). I don't quite understand some saying its flimsy...to me, it's pretty tough. I take care of my stuff, but it seems pretty thick to me. I have not used it on open fire - just on a 50+yr old Coleman white gas stove (fits well), but I have fixed many a camp meal on it. My two (very minor) gripes - would be nice to have a carry bag for it (even just lightweight nylon), and the lip is a bit low, so there always seems to be a "casualty" of a bit of food going off and falling in the bottom of the stove, but its camping...these are very minor gripes. It can have a bit of a cooler spot in the middle, but that's to be expected on a camp stove. You do some cooking management and it's fine. Would purchase another again if I needed one.

from reading some of the reviews i bought some "pam" cooking spray when i went camping just in case my pancakes stuck to the grill but it did not. the surface is non-stick and the was the case when i used it on my camping trip. i have also used it in my home and no problems with it sticking either. I did not peel and was super easy to clean. i will continue to use this at home and while out camping. the size is good. i can make about 6 small pancakes as shown in the product picture. I made bacon, sausage and scramble eggs (not all at the same time) on this griddle and had not problems. i recommend it.
