I don't usually write a review after 2 days but in this case, I had to make an exception. I will revise if and when it becomes necessary. However, I have a great deal of faith in this product. The quality and the functionality is better than I expected. I have never had a coffee warmer before and I finally got tired of drinking lukewarm coffee. I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I decided to buy this cup warmer. I was concerned about the size since I couldn't really tell much from the picture. The products is large and can accommodate a large mug! The controls are self explanatory and the touch control works perfectly. Many people complain that other products don't keep the coffee hot enough. This one does. It has three temperatures. One for liquid powdered milk (for example), the lowest temperature, one for coffee or tea, the middle temperature and one for Hot chocolate the hottest temperature. The warmer also has a timer. It can be set anywhere from 1 to 12 hours. If you forget to turn it off, even if you are not using the timer the product will automatically shut off at 8 hours so you don't have to worry if you left on a trip and forgot to turn it off! The quality of the materials: Many people complained that the most popular brand, in addiction to not getting hot enough had the burner coating wear off prematurely. This warmer does not have a conventional burner. The top is a stick free, shiny plastic material and it very attractive. The unit in general is attractive. Note: This warmer will not work with double walled cups, plastic cups or cups where the rim of the base only touches the heating surface. Moreover, if the base of grandma's cups is very small and dainty, it won't allow enough heat transfer. Get her a different gift for Christmas. If the base is concave with minimal contact, the warmer will not work. Normal cups with normal sized bases and mugs will work great. Obviously, I am very pleased. The Kitchen Shop (on Amazon) cup warmer is sturdy, well made and thus far appears to be durable. It has three temperatures, 12 timer settings and will keep your drink pleasantly warm or HOT. I kept forgetting to turn off my last cup warmer especially over long weekends until the plastic began to crack. I found this warmer on Amazon and love the timer settings and automatic shut off. I actually purchased this as a gift for my sister who was constantly having to reheat her coffee tea etc. in the microwave and then would days later find that cold mug sitting still in the microwave because she had forgotten about it. I saw it in action for the first time yesterday and asked her about it and she said it works perfectly and she loves it. So convenient and easy to use. She keeps it plugged in all the time on the side table in her living room and she says she uses it almost every day. I like the 4 different heat settings. My last one only had theee. High was too hot and medium was too cold. This one hits in the middle. My only complaint would be to have it remember your last temp setting so you don’t have to touch in button and then touch the temp button 2 times to set the temp.     • Pretty good with one issue.
I have had 4 or 5 different coffee or tea warmers. I would say this is the best one so far. I like the size of the hot surface, it is big. The temperatures really get hot. You could bring a lukewarm tea to hot in few minutes. The only thing I don't like is there is no auto turn off. You have to set the time off setting manually. So, if you forget then it stays on. Not safe and little worrying. I wish it had a set time off when you turn it on, like 4 hours, so just in case you forget to set the timer to off. Also, if you go from temp 185 to 131, it turns off. The timer is also turned off. You have to reset it again to turn off automatically. *I would upload a photo, but it freezes every time I try to upload a picture. ... show more
