Best thing we ever purchased. I had gotten this as a gift for my husband and it is amazing! Grows crazy fast, I mean really! I just now wish I got the bigger one. We do lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and a ton more! Love this! You won’t regret this purchase !

Our first attempt failed. We bought the food, changed the water, but the plants are tiny. Amazons help process just went in circles and the primary help from the company is to buy more food ($$) and join the website ($20//month). How does that help little plants grow?

I have the gardyn 1 system which I can't find to review. But, the system has serious issues so I assume Gardyn doesn't have the best r&d and testing teams. The black hoses for the irrigation system have all failed. The smaller ones have all cracked and the large one always kinks. And the cameras don't work. And they don't publish the diameter of the hoses to replace them with.

My husband got me this unit, and my advice is “don’t buy” - it is not worth the money, let alone the investment. The unit costs $700, including accessories (you must buy them to get it going), such as the plant food and pH water treatment. Then you need the AI assistant, $25 per month. Based on other reviews, you would be better off having a larger space to host this unit. If you live in a tiny apartment or studio, forget about it - you can read a book under your cover! Then, the cost of electricity (to power an LED light for 15 hours per day). With the high cost of electricity these days, and with the “total cost” of combining them, it's depressing. You can purchase many fresh organic veggies for $1500 worth. Don’t fall for the TikTok influencers who say this unit is romantic to own; my husband thought so (lucky me), but the reality is that it is costly, with maintenance that involves washing the unit inside and out at least twice a year. It is not romantic to clean anything, nor is it romantic to clean this unit with a toothbrush.

It’s cute. For the money and maintenance the amount of greens, flowers, etc you get I absolutely DO NOT recommend. It’s a little less maintenance than the Lettuce Grow system but the yields are not worth the money or time. I get two large salads maybe every two months. I’ve been a gardener for many years. Never, until the Gardyn, have I had aphids indoors. I know how to eradicate them and somehow they come back within a week with this system. Can’t help but wonder if there is a problem with the inventory they send out. Even without the aphid fight the system does not provide enough produce to recommend.

Received this as a Christmas present. Would have preferred nothing. It was multiple videos to assemble and the parts that were pre-assembled were assembled incorrectly. Customer support had to send me an additional video on how to replace the hose so that I could complete the initial setup. It is ugly and cheap looking. The light is so horrifically bright that it lights up my whole downstairs open concept floor plan. It is extremely loud when in watering. Louder than my Shark vacuum and dishwasher running simultaneously. Then they want you to get a membership that is expensive to get discounts on replacement plants. Look at the prices for the additional seeds before purchasing. They even want you to spend $50 to get the ability to not use all the pod slots. $50 for cap covers shows what a scam this company is. Do not buy this product.
