I bought this for our road trip from St. Louis to Orlando. I was able to run my laptop and charge tablets. It was nice to be able to plug it into the 12 V cigarette outlet and not have to run a heavier gauge wire into the cabin of the vehicle. It does have a low voltage alarm, which will sound and shut itself off. This really only occurred when we would start the car so just make sure that it’s off prior to starting. ... show more

I bought for my rv to run my heating pad which is 120v 180w. It would not power it from the 12v outlet. I briefly hooked directly to the house batteries and it worked but I will have to find some heavy duty wires and run it to the back of the rv to make use of it. Not really worth it unless you plan on a direct connection. ... show more

Got this so my son would always how power for all his electronics while we’re out and about. Have it hooked up to a switch panel and mounted under the passenger seat. Just make sure you test your alternator before you install an inverter…. What little life my old alternator had was taken pretty quickly after I put this in 😂😂😂. ... show more

Working well for nearly a year running a rice cooker in my car when needed. Great solution considering this lower price point. Note - Cooling fans are relatively loud in a car, and initially had a strong plastic smell. But over time the smell has dissipated. 5 stars for a overall great value.

    • Good unit, ruined by bad design...
Plugged in the unit and it would intermittently turn on and off, after about 30 minutes of checking everything it was the provided cable, The positive connection inside doesn't make good contact with any plug and just comes loose immediately with any kind of movement. The plugs on the vehicle are brand new and in good condition. Replaced the cord, with another spare. And I've had zero issues since then. The unit works great The only complaint I have with it is that it constantly beeps when The ignition is set to accessory. The vehicle has to be on to shut it up... ... show more
