I had an impossible time finding a coated paddle attachment for my kitchenaid mixer. First, I searched the kitchaid site but putting the model number (kp26m9x) into their search resulted in dishwasher parts. Then I searched Amazon and nothing matching my model number came up so ended up searching by mixer size (6 quart) which is how I found this one. Still skeptical, I ordered it anyway and was thrilled when I received it and it was the exact size of my ruined paddle. They really mean it when they say not dishwasher safe. Thankfully, the coated one is dishwasher safe and easier to keep clean. I’ve used it for both mixing cookie dough and for shredding chicken. Very happy with with this purchase. ... show more

I have an older 6qt professional mixer that has gone through 2 paddle attachments. I needed a new one but didn't want to spend $40+ for a OEM. It does pretty much get to the bottom, but as you can see, there's a large gap, roughly 1/4" around the sides. So, yes it will work for a 6qt, just be prepared to do a lot of scraping. ... show more

Even though we have the Professional 600, ours is Model KP26M1XNP and this will not fit. The beater for that model is KN256CBT.
