When we first got chickens we built a coop. We bought plans and built it. It took forever, it wasn't square a dang bit, but it was solid and wonderful. Then we had to move and we couldn't take that monster with us, but I needed a secure coop ASAP. I thought about something temporary until we could build again, but decided to go with this. If it was sturdy we'd keep it. If not, lesson learned. So it arrived on a big pallet. My husband and I got the pieces out (not many y'all) and had this thing up in 30 minutes. The most work was getting a level ground area, but that was easy as we used concrete deck blocks under the legs to give it a bit of height. When we finished, we just looked at each other and remarked how dumb we felt, busting our humps on our last coop when this one was so easy. It's sturdy. It's solid. It's so dang easy to put together. We have 10 hens in here. I do kinda wish I had bought the Large, but all my girls fit in here fine and less room will actually be ideal in the winter to help conserve heat. They're laying about 7-8 eggs a day with no problems. We do have an automatic door from our last coop that we installed and that works wonderfully. Clean out is a breeze and we, and our girls, couldn't be happier. ... show more

Coop is great. Put together easy and no issues. The shipping on the other hand was a complete nightmare. Over two weeks late, the company lost it and couldn’t find it in their own warehouse. And I still had to drive 2 hours to the warehouse to go get it bc after it already being two weeks late they told me I had to wait another week for delivery bc they only served my area on Tuesday. And it was Monday. So I asked why can’t it be delivered tomorrow then and there excuse was it’s a two man delivery and we only have one man tomorrow. So to save it from being three weeks late I got it myself. Hope amazon never used that company again. ... show more

I LOVE this coop!! This is the 2nd one we've bought-- it's perfect for my bantums! The 1st coop we bought directly from OverEZ Coop. The delivery was smooth & no issues, and the Coop arrived in perfect shape. I purchased the 2nd one from Amazon because it was $100 cheaper vs the OverEZ Coop website. When we opened it up to assemble, we discovered that it was pretty beat up. The white trim was ripped off the nesting box, the big door won't shut completely, half of the structure seems to be warped, and there a lot of scratches and busted up edges. We kept the Coop because it would be a huge hassle to return. Like I said, I love this Coop, I just wish the delivery carrier would have given more care. ... show more

I was skeptical on the quality as I reside in Montana and we have HARSH winters. I have to say that I am so impressed with how well it is built and structured! I have 13 chickens and they all fit perfectly! We have reached 30 below so far and they have been warm and dry in this coop! I highly recommend! This is my second one. These are easy to put together and are very sturdy. I’ve bought much cheaper ones in the past and they fall apart and wildlife can get in with a little effort. My babies are safe in these coops.

Very poor shipping and handling. Between text message, confirmation link, and Amazon app- I had 3 different times for delivery date/time. Unable to track and prepare for its arrival. Upon arrival, the delivery guys did not know how to get it off the truck. After looking at other delivery pictures, it is clear ours was shipped incorrectly flat on its side and not standing up like it should have been. As far as assembly goes, it took a couple hours. The marks on the floor did not line up the walls correctly so we could not use those. The walls did not slide together on corners nicely, forcing the trim pieces to pull apart. There are some gaps that we will need to cover. Will need to be re-caulked. Added screws to reinforce all pieces that were stapled, as the staples all came out. The preset screws did not align with the roof studs at all. The lock handle on the nesting boxes doesn't actually prevent the cover from being opened. Only came with 1 roost bar. Overall it's a little disappointing to pay so much money for a product and still run into so many issues. After we finish making the many repairs needed, it should be a good coop that will last some time. ... show more

The OverEZ chicken coop was very easy to put together and is very solidly built. My chickens helped us the entire time we worked on it and were very comfortable entering it when we were finished. The handle on the chicken door was broken. I just emailed the manufacturer and sent them a picture of the handle. They immediately sent a new one out to me without any hassle. I feel good knowing my chickens will be safe in their new home at night. :) ... show more

Overall, a decent coop. There were some spots that got damaged in shipping. I didn't want any exposed damage to degrade from weather, so I ended up repainting the whole thing and then added clearcoat and silicone sealant. There were some parts of the coop that weren't square. This created some gaps. I'll touch up those gaps with weatherstripping. ... show more
