When I got this and put the batteries in, and everything worked. Then the gears stopped working within minutes. I wiggled the batteries, then seemed to work. Then it stopped again after a few minutes. I did an exchange and my new clock came in about a day or so and I sent the old one back with no problems. The new clock is working good.     • Terrible Quality for the Price, I had to Open and Fix it TWICE Before Use

For the price paid, I was expecting a sturdy, well put together clock. I was very wrong. When I received the clock, the hands were broken. They were just hanging from the center stem loose and limp. Given it was not a functional clock, I started the replacement process. The seller reached out and asked if they could send me the instructions on how to open the clock and fix the hands. Weighing the hassle of packing up the broken clock and going through the motions to return it, as well as potentially getting a replacement that was also broken and getting caught in a terrible cycle, I agreed to try and fix the hands. Following the instructions to take apart the housing, the first thing I noticed was the entire clock is made from cheap plastic. Everything is extremely thin, weak, and flimsy. I also noticed the middle insert with the gears was upside down. Thus, after several attempts to get the hands working and aligned, I put the main housing back in place, but then had to take out the screws that hold the middle sections that has the ornamental gears and rotate to the correct position. While I was able to fix the two issues, I don't think I should've had to, and was extremely unsatisfied with the poor quality of materials, especially given the price I paid. ... show more

I bought this clock primarily for its industrial look, due to moving gears. It also has a modern look. Overall, I'm quite pleased with it, except that the batteries for the moving gears (2-AA) don't last very long. On an average, they last about a month. To change the batteries, it's a task especially if the clock is hung high on the wall. Also, the battery compartment is on the rear of the clock. I wish the manufacturer had designed the clock so that one does not have to change the batteries so often. ... show more

Beautiful clock. It's sturdy and easy to hang. However, the gears in the center of the clock require a separate battery and I have to replace it every 3-4 weeks. The hands keep time well but I was attracted to the moving gears. It's high on my wall in the great room and it's challenging to keep taking it down to change that second battery.
