A great office chair with lots of good features without the cost. It is not a Herman Miller Aeron to be upfront. It lacks some quality of life features but for the price it is a overall well rounded chair for moderate home use. If you work from home long hours at the desk you may want to go up a price tier or two. I was using a kitchen table chair for a while before I bought a dedicated office chair for my desk. So in my perspective this was well worth it. I am comfortable for multiple hour sitting sessions working, homework and gaming. Also if you didn’t read this information in the product description or in another review. The headrest ships separately. It took a couple days for me to receive the headrest after I received the chair.

I am 5’0”, so definitely under average size. I was hoping there would be a locking mechanism or that the tension adjustment would be enough to accommodate me, but I am just too short for average office chairs. There is no height adjustment. I may try to get a seat cushion that will lift me up more and may need to add a counterweight on the back. The back of the chair is nearly impossible for me to fit completely onto the seat base. It gets stuck before completely fitting together. I’m still waiting on the head cushion since it’s sold separately but I read a review from someone 5’5” saying it was too tall for them so I don’t have a ton of hope haha.

My rating is due to lower quality just to give it a fair review. Over the last 5+ years, I've owned multiple high-end chairs and they just go bad over some time due to the most important thing. Seat cushion and pressure relief. I started experimenting with gel and memory foam cushions. They all suck from my experience, especially gel. I've used the Leap v2 for over 2 years (great chair but the cushion sucks, Herman Miller Aeron (weird sitting posture, mesh seat cushion sucks and armrest trash, and the Hayworth Zody (great chair) seat cushion could be better, Hayworth Fern (i still own this but I think this is by far the most perfect chair aside from the seat cushion,) But I don't care about the quality of this chair vs the higher-end chairs. The important thing to me is hip and lower back pain. I weigh around 215lbs and I'm about 5"9. This chair is basically a way better and more practical version of the leap v2 at a fraction of the cost. NO CAP This chair comes with a headrest. Leap does not unless u want to shell out a ton of money. arm adjustment is pretty close but the leap is definitely better. U can slide the seat out on both chairs to sit Indian style. The chair is easy to set up. literally two screws for back support and 1 screw for the headrest. The seat cushion is 2309582098350298x better than leap v2. I would suggest getting an armrest cushion to help ur elbows but avoid velcro crap. You will scrape ur forearms on that crap. I hope this helps

I really am enjoying this chair - it's much more sturdy/supportive than my last chair. It does pay to invest in your daily comfort. I have seen other reviews say that the lumbar support is too much, and normally I would agree, but in pregnancy this has been actually really great to help me maintain good posture. Everything is adequately adjustable and the bottom cushion is very firm and supportive. Not cushy - but I'd rather it last than start sagging or hurting my bottom after a year.

UPDATE AFTER 1.5 YEARS: I added a star, making my rating 5 stars instead of 4. This chair is working as well as the day I put it together. Nothing is starting to rattle, fall apart, squeak, loosen, sag, rip etc. It's exactly how it was a year and a half ago when I got it. And I sit in it for hours daily. Rock solid. Original review: I've owned and have used this chair for about 3 weeks now. Overall, it's a very well made and comfortable chair. I would say the very few issues I have are minor. It seems quite solidly made and feels assuredly sturdy to sit in. There are no squeaks or flimsy parts or anything that seems like it's likely to break anytime soon. The seat cushion chassis is made of metal, not plastic. That's reassuring. I'll run through some specifics: - The plastic parts are made of notably tough, well-made, quality plastic - The mesh feels well made, durable and comfortable. - The seat cushion material is equally durable. And most importantly, the seat itself is comfortable. I appreciate the 'waterfall' edge which is comfortable for your thighs. Its ability to slide back or forward helps lock in the best position. - The adjustable lumbar support moves easily and gives you subtle but noticeable support for your lower back - The headrest (which FYI comes in a separate shipment!) is solid and comfortable. My only complaint is that it seems a tad too easy to rotate. I wish there was more resistance, or that you could lock its position. If you rotate it out and lean your head into it with much force, it will push the headrest back. - The armrest adjustments are very helpful. My complaint with them is that they are very firm. Your elbows might feel a little tender at the end of the day. - The chair can lean very far back. I love this! Especially with the headrest, you can definitely kick back. My only very minor complaint here is that I wish you could adjust the resistance for leaning back to even less than the lowest setting allows. I've rotated the knob all the way open, and it's still just a tad too much resistance to lean back. Minor quibble - This chair will work great for shorter people. I'm 5'6" and even at its highest, it doesn't seem all that high. At its lowest, my feet are squarely on the ground. I'm actually a little surprised by this. If I was 6' or so, would this chair be too short? After 3 weeks use, I really have no complaints. I've never owned a really expensive chair and wonder if they're worth 5x the cost? This one seems totally solid and high quality. I also bought the Clatina rollerblade style wheels to replace the stock casters. They're super smooth and raise the chair by a little bit overall. Recommended, especially if you're on carpet. One note on assembly - like others have mentioned, I did find the seat back assembly a bit difficult. You are required to slide the seat back into two pieces of plastic connected to each armrest. The trick is to slide each side in equally and at the same time. It's a very tight fit. If you slide in one side more than the other, it will probably be impossible to fully slide in. Even doing it my way, it was almost impossible at the end. Thankfully I was able to get the seat back slid in almost all the way, and then the screws used to secure it also worked to pull the seat back all the way in.

Great chair. The only thing that bugs me is the seat depth adjustment. When you have it locked in, the seat slides back and forth about a half an inch making a clunking sound. This is due to the slop in the mechanism. Even with this problem I would still buy the chair again.
