  • great chair
easy to assemble, sturdy, easy to adjust, comfortable (even after 8 hours), sleek-look, rolls smoothly, spins nicely, great lumbar support even without the "lumbar attachment" bit they sell. I'm 5'6" apx 130 lbs and this small size chair is a great fit.

  • Great chair, not adjustable
Size: Large - C Size Color: Graphite Frame/Carbon Classic Pellicle
Buyer beware: This chair is ONLY adjustable for height (up/down). I have been researching an adjustable ergonomic office chair for several weeks and came across many glowing reviews of the Herman Miller line. Unfortunately, however, I purchased this model which does not have lumbar support, tilt adjustment, or other options available on many other models. I will be returning this chair. Look carefully at the item details and make sure you buy a chair that fits all of your needs, especially given the costs of the Herman Miller chairs. ... show more

  • A Real Lifesaver for Someone with Pain
This is literally one of the only chairs I can sit in comfortably, thanks to musculoskeletal pain. THANK THE MAKER for this. I was in so much pain all of the time before I found this chair, only being able to sit (with pain pills and cushion) for, at best, an hour. Then I did an internship at an office where they used these chairs, and it blew my mind! I had been worried beforehand that I would not be able to make it through my summer internship for more than a week, but once I found this chair, I immediately ordered one for home and one to be kept for me at grad school when I returned. I still can only sit about 3 or 4 hours with this chair, but that's a huge difference from any other chair. Worth every dollar. ... show more

  • How are non-adjustable arms ergonomic?
Size: Large - C Size Color: Graphite Frame/Carbon Classic Pellicle
It's a great chair but it's only getting three stars because a $729 ergonomic chair should have adjustable arms. My bad, I didn't read the description through, but non-adjustable arms that sit this low defeat the purpose of an ergonomic chair. It cost $200 additional to get adjustable arms and with it a bunch of other bells and whistles. I had the super fancy chair at work a few years ago and that's why I got this....but I did not realize that my former employer spent $900 on employee chairs. I had it good. ... show more

  • One of my favorite chairs
Size: Large - C Size Color: Graphite Frame/Carbon Classic Pellicle
An inheritance and a killing in the stock market lead me to feel I should upgrade from using a Coleman camp chair as my go to chair. This has proved a stylish substitute. I hit it with polish several times initially and would wipe it down lovingly and just look at it. It is one of the finest things I own and beautiful just to gaze at. Unfortunately the hydraulic up/down fixture leaks and I have to reset everyday. Pain in the whazoo enough that I just use the default setting. It is very comfortable, maybe more so than the under $200 office chair I purchased at Sam's Club for my winter place, but just a bit. After seven years aside from the up/down control it looks and functions good as new. Very well built, not just another pretty face. After reveling in my hot stuff,Silcon Valley startup work of art for a couple years I sat in my old standby, the Coleman camp chair($20-$30 at Costco 25 years ago/alas they don't make them anymore) and you know in a different change of pace way it was just as comfortable as the HermanMiller, not better, just different. Love 'em both, use 'em both. ... show more

  • Gets High Praise
This wasn't a purchase for me but for the better half who spends hours a day at her computer and was really dealing with back issues due to that. I think 5 minutes after receiving this chair and putting the back on it she was in love with the thing. This model doesn't have all the bells and whistles as some of them do but, she's perfectly happy with it as is. I'm too tall for this model but I have sat in it and I can say it's very comfortable! It tends to rock back slightly to take the weight off of your spine and put it against the back of the chair so you don't find yourself leaning forward to get in a comfortable position. Some may say it's insane to spend this much on an office chair, to you I say, if you spent as much time as she does at your desk then you would think this is a drop in the bucket to not have an aching back every night. ... show more

  • Don't buy this, pay the extra for the non-basic version.
Size: Large - C Size Color: Graphite Frame/Carbon Classic Pellicle
When I purchased this chair, I guess I didn't realize I was buying a bottom-of-the-line version. There's only ONE adjustment. Up/Down. That's it! If you want to adjust the arm rests, you have to completely take the back apart. Don't get me wrong, it's a comfortable chair, but I hate the fact that I can't lock it in an upright position. Every time you sit in it, it leans back. I would return it and pay the extra $200 for the model up from this if it wasn't such a hassel shipping it to Alaska. ... show more

  • Be aware this is not the 'full feature' chair model
Size: Large - C Size Color: Graphite Frame/Carbon Classic Pellicle
It's my own fault, but I didn't catch in the fine print, this is a stripped down model of the Aeron chair, though it is selling for the price of the 'normal' full featured model. I cannot do anything to fix this now, but I'm stuck with a chair with no features of the real Aeron at all and paid through the teeth for what would have been the fully featured version from almost any other source. Lesson learned in my haste. This model only has two adjustments, up/down and tension on the spring, it is far from optimal. I was simply unaware they even sold a model of "Aeron" with no features at all. I'm a very tall guy and this model with the arms set for a 5'1" person is utterly useless. This chair has less lumbar support than some of the cheap Costco chairs I have around here, the adjustable lumbar evidently is an added 'option' . Yes, my own fault, but don't buy this chair, priced as the 'real' Aeron and expect it, just a warning. ... show more
