I recently purchased this head unit from Cidava, and to say I am impressed is an understatement. Between the incredible customer service, to the mind blowing capabilities of the product, I am extremely happy. The owner has been texting back and forth with me since I placed the order, and has had a very quick response time and had been nothing but friendly and helpful. He got me in contact with his source for setting up the wifi on the radio through the sim card, and he was friendly and helpful as well. The installation process was about as easy as it gets. All wires were clearly labeled, and the instructional video on youtube made installing this head unit so much easier. I spent just under an hour working on the install and everything worked on the first try. The unit fits in the dash like GM made it themselves. It is a perfect fit and looks almost factory. I am blown away by the capabilities and options this unit has to offer. If you are only looking for carplay/androidauto, don't worry about getting the wifi sim card. But if you want to unlock the full capabilities of the unit, the sim card is 100% worth it. The entire google play store is at you disposal. As an avid hockey fan myself, having the capability of having the NHL app downloaded and fully useable on my radio is incredible. The options for the customization of the sound is insane too; I have no clue what 90% of it means, but it is still pretty cool to have all of the options. My truck did not have the capability if androidauto initially, but this head unit gave me wireless connectivity within seconds of booting up. The only thing I would like to see changed, is more options for the style layout. While there are 27 different options, a lot of them feel pretty similar. I would like to see some more options and color schemes, maybe even some more white options to provide a clean and simple look to the home screen. That really is my only complaint with the unit as of now, and that is not really a big deal at all. I have only had the unit installed for about a day now, and no issues as of yet. I will provide an update on the quality after a month or so of use. HIGHLY recommend this unit.

It was easy to install following their YouTube video. I had an issue after installation, and the seller helped me out immediately over the weekend and got it sorted. I'm very happy with how it turned out. There's no lag, and the screen is crisp. I highly recommend it.

Leaning toward returning while I'm in the return window. There's good and bad with this head unit. Good - Customer service is top notch. They have responded to most calls/text same day, latest by the next day. - Screen size and resolution is great. - Fitment and finish of the bezel that surrounds the screen is great. It's a super tight fit to get it in, especially at the bottom. But once it clips in it doesn't move or make cheap plastic sounds at all. - Lots of options to customize the screen look and adjust audio. - No lag, very responsive. - Option for sim card if you want mobile data at all times. Bad - It comes with what looks like a screen protector already added over the screen. It had multiple bubbles and micro scratches on it right out of the box (see pic). It's clearly a cheap screen protector where they didn't get all the dust/debris off before sticking it on. I'd replace it but the bezel must have been mounted to the screen after the protector was put on. There's no visible edge to the protector to pull it off without taking apart the head unit. - Some cheap looking app icons. While some app icons look good that are pre-programmed with the theme you select, if you drag an app from the app menu to the home screen the font from the app overlaps with part of the app logo. It doesn't look good. - Not the greatest call quality. Was told by a person I called they could hear themselves talk at times and there was faint electrical interference the entire call. I also noticed a delay from when I spoke to the person on the other end hearing me, it made the conversation awkward. Hung up and called back as well as reset the radio, no change in quality. Also the unit did not come with a microphone like they show you in the install video. Customer service said they no longer provide those and that the head unit has a built in mic. - For those with the Bose system, the $180 retention adapter didn't work. Customer service had me go to Autozone to buy 2 resistors that I had to tap into wires for the Bose system to work (see pic). - Carplay connection is inconsistent. Wireless seems to be working fine, but when I plug it in the app will crash randomly. - The unit comes programmed with the metric system. You have to dig in different settings apps to change all of it. I got everything changed except the AC unit display shows metric even after you change it. Also the 12-hour time shows AM times with a 0 in front of the hour (08:20). It looks strange. - Shipping speed is slow, it took 3 weeks to arrive. There are other 8gb+128gb units that are 1 or 2 day shipping from Amazon. I really want to like this unit. It does look good and I love the screen size. Unfortunately the drawbacks are making me want to return it. At $850 for everything I needed to get it to work I expect better quality. I have a couple more weeks before the return window closes so I'll keep messing with it, but it's been a lot of work so far to get it to work right.

Pros Is it cool? Yes! Big touch screen!!!! Fast boot up Cons The big touch Screen!! It has small scratches in it already, that I only noticed after the return period had expired. Is it easy to install? not really! The instructions are a youtube video. It hops around. Shows you how to install a microphone that doesn't even come with the kit. Doesn't actually tell you how to set up the settings in the radio. You have to hunt for them and Hope it works. Would I buy again. Probably not.

Just installed this radio in my 2017 GMC Sierra. I have Bose system so the Bose adapter is needed had to get a download to update the radio for Bose. Victor helped me get up and running in no time customer service is great. I have 4 8” subs with factory highs for now the radio works great no problem. Everything is plug and play.

I bought this new stereo for my 2015 gmc sierra sle, super simple to hook up especially after watching the 1hr and 41 minute video like 5 times before I ordered. After hooking up the radio I had some small adjustments to make and “vector” or “victor” with their customer support done an awesome job with walking me through everything I needed. I freaking love it.
