  • I decided I wanted a beautiful rocking recliner for around $300 and this magically appeared in my apartment 😍
I am in love with my recliner. I'm a 5'8" 140 lb dude and this chair is perfect for me. FedEx delivered it right to my door even though I live on the second floor of an apt building, and way earlier than I expected. The arm paddings and seat cushion are a little on the firm side, but still very comfy. The padding on the chair's back and sides are super cushy and feel plush. The look and aesthetic of the chair is exactly what I was looking for and I feel is much more appealing to the eye than many of the other chairs I've seen on Amazon at this price point. It certainly does feel durable and will easily last me a good few years at least, although I will probably be sitting in it with the leg rest down the majority of the time. Like one other review stated, it doesn't lock or click in place when you push the chair's back all the way back, so yes it will slowly start to raise back up if your weight isn't enough to keep it down. Hopefully over time the spring/mechanism will be conditioned to more or less stay in the fully extended position. It's not hard at all for me to close the leg rest. I just followed the chair's instructions which said lean all the way forward to bring the chair's back straight up, then push the leg rest down. Goes back down easily enough for me. :) Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase so far and it is now my favorite chair to lounge in in my living room whether i'm watching TV or working on my laptop. It's an amazing addition to my setup and look forward to many, many naps. I hope you enjoy the photos — I placed the soda can on the arm to give you a reference of size. ... show more

  • Pleasant Surprise !
Some surprises: 1) Because the chair does not have the conventional lever and associated mechanism for raising the leg rest, the weight of the chair is less than my others. That mechanism was troublesome on my Lazy Boy and Lazy Boy knock-off and required some tinkering over the years. This chair uses simple springs with the side latch being merely a latch. Upside is I expect the chair to be more reliable. The downside is that it takes strong leg force to lock the foot rest back in place. 2) The chair is a rocker. 3) I like the way the chair back is in three pieces. It makes assembly much easier and does not put as much strain on as one rail does. Chairs with heavy backs require lifting that weight while trying to fit the rails together. On those chairs it was like "shooting" in the dark. 4) One customer commented that chair was soft. That's in the eye of the beholder. I found the cushions to be quite firm - which I favor. I'm retired on fixed income. I'll order another one of these next month when I receive my next SS check. ... show more

  • YOU CAN FIX THE RECLINER PART
The 1-Star reviews are correct about closing the recliner. Here is how to fix it. 1. Open the recliner and look under the foot rest. 2. Remove the 4 screws of the foot rest and put in a 3/4" spacer between the bracket and cushion at each location. The screws are long enough to reuse. Make sure the fabric does not cover up the screw hole. 3. Remove the 5" spring on the side opposite the release handle. The chare will now close with much less effort and nothing else will be affected. All the brackets look to be good quality and I expect the chair to last a long time (for the price). I understand that some chairs may be delivered defective and that some may even brake in a short time. There are lemons with everything we buy. Is this chair a real one star, not everyone thinks so, and yes it was a1 star when I got it but I turned it into a 4 star chair. ... show more

  • Updated, lowered my rating after breakage.
This is a nice chair, at a very reasonable price. The seat cushion is rather firm for my taste right out of the box. If it had been just a bit softer, I would have given 5 stars. My wife has been using the chair for about 2 weeks though, and prefers it to my soft leather recliner, costing over twice as much. Assembly was very easy, requiring no tools. We would gladly buy this item again. Update: after being happy with the chair for 3 months, we needed to move it for carpet cleaner. I grabbed the chair back, from behind , and attempted to rotate the chair away from the wall. That's when I heard a loud tearing sound. I stopped and let go, as the right side of the back section of the chair flopped downward. I pulled back some of the lower fabric covering, and saw the right-side plywood support leg, that attaches the back of chair to the base, shattered, like it was hit by a car. We rarely use the chair now, due to the crooked and sagging back. It's not worth the hassle for me to try to fix it. Maybe the backs can be purchased separately. ... show more

  • Nice recliner at a good price
I bought this recliner for my mother-in-law for Christmas and she loves it. We were pretty happy that it arrived a day early. It was also very easy to put together, just a few pieces to slide into their slots. It seems pretty sturdy. I personally would like it to be a little more softer but my MIL says it comfortable. The dogs love laying in the recliner as well and they approve! I would definitely buy again when we need a new chair. ... show more

  • Easy to assemble
It’s comfy, rocks and reclines. It’s easy to assemble. I bought it for my mom and she loves it. This review was written after one day of use.

  • Very comfortable, well pleased.
Takes foot pressure to close it, my only negative feedback.

  • Sits too high to be able to rest arms on side “arm rests”
Very uncomfortable sits way too high, so high that you can’t rest your arms on the side arm rests. Other then seat not being cushiony and too firm making you sit very high and unable to get comfortable and rest arms on side arm rests because it sits too high. I like to sink down in the seat of a recliner to actually be able to rest my arms on the sides but this chair sits too high. Not comfortable one bit. This is second recliner that I bought off of amazon, the first recliner was a leather like material haven’t even had it a year and it’s ripped at the seams on seat and back and this one here sits too high and firm not allowing you to rest your arms on sides because you are too high up in the seat. I don’t think I’ll be buying anymore recliners from amazon. ... show more
