First one I bought had 2 strands that didn't work. I got it replaced for free and it arrived within 2 days, returned the other. The new one I got works great! Make sure to wrap the plug and controller with plastic wrap so it doesn't get wet. When you set the mode, it will save it for when your lights turn on and off again. The lights are bright and look great! Just make sure to be extremely careful untangling and not to stretch the lines too hard or they will break easily. keep them a little loose for the wind as well. They will hold up if you do these things. Also, when taking it down, tie each strand of lights individually, so that it will be easier to put up again later. Overall, Great Lights and length for the price! Be kind to them and they will work great! ... show more

Unfortunately after a few days, one strand went out, super bummed. Absolutely beautiful! All lights work with many options. We purchased two sets and put them back to back to make a fuller complete circle. We used our own stronger stakes. Be careful of the lights tangling, if you aren’t cautious, it can cause a headache. 1. My box didn't come with garden stakes/staples, I purchased 10 and ended up needing to go to a hardware store for 2 more, sp fyi you need 12. 2. I tied my ends off with about a 1.5 ft left and then wove the ends together to make a line across the bottom held down by the garden staples. You'll have to get creative with however you choose to stake the ends based on the look you're going for. 3. The star is simply too small for 23 ft of lights under it. It's obvious to me now but wasnt when buying. It should probably be double the size if we're being artistically honest... and from far away it sorta just looks super bright at the tree top, not necessarily like a star shape. More like an "implied star" because it really does look bright at the top where a star would be. 4. These strands of lights are very delicate and thin. Deer, dogs, children, etc. running through these will absolutely wreck them. However I accidently chucked a shovel full of thick snow at the ground of strands today when shoveling nearby and they were totally fine. 5. It took me 90 min to install because each and every single neatly tied strand of lights is frustratingly tangled together. Pro-tip: Toss down each strand you're workimg with moving outwards from the center, otherwise your untangled strands will static-style twist and tangle together as soon as they touch eachother. The strings are attracted to eachother, I swear. Avoid this by never letting two loose strands freely hang next to eachother while you stake them down. 6. Only one day after installing these we got 8" of snow. At the top of the light where it leans on the gutter is now totally covered by snow. The lights dont get warm so it cant melt the snow around it. You just see a light glow under the snow at the top gutter and across the bottom lawn now. All that being said- this thing's still cool and (so far) worth the money. I intend to put it up again next year provided it survives the next 6-8 weeks of a Chicago winter. ... show more

These were the best money spent on WoW factor for the holidays! I read a lot of reviews and took my time unwinding each strand carefully- and placed it where it needed to go- one at a time. This made all the difference and I could totally understand others frustrations if they were in a rush- because I could see how they would get tangled. I secured each strand with a small board anchoring it (temporarily) and once I had them all fanned out, was able to place larger anchors on several at a time- which wasn’t the prettiest in the day, but at night- you didn’t see them at all. The lights were fantastic! I live near the water and we get a lot of wind, but none of the strands broke free. They swayed in the wind- but were fine. ... show more

Absolutely good price point and a nice attractive addition to the yard display. The problem is with durability. After this was put up, we had a storm roll through with 30ph wind gusts. One of the strands snapped about 2 feet above the ground where it was anchored. Since the rest of that strand kept working, just draped it straight down the middle in the back since we could no longer anchor it out. I'm hoping the rest of the strands fair better, though I'm thinking this might be a one or two season wonder. If I did this over, I might take a thin wire and zip tie it to the strands giving it more strength. Not sure Onory didn't run a support wire like this. ... show more
