No remote received with product. The lights are small but bright for there size. The light strings are strong and look as if they will last. Controller works but you have to play with it to learn and obtain settings you prefer. Overall I like it and will use it but will look for bigger and brighter. I would recommend. Held up well to wind using supplied metal spikes. Wish there was an easy way to roll up the wires for storage. I ended up making wooden spools and using a drill to roll up the wires.
