  • Stop researching. Buy this one.
I needed compression on my abdominal area after abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck as it's also known. I am currently in my third week post operation, and have been wearing this belt for a few days. This is a review for: "2 in 1 Postpartum Support Recovery Belly Wrap Waist/Pelvis Belt Body Shaper Postnatal Shapewear,One Size." I am currently a size 6/8 dress, 5'6", 150-ish, a couple days post surgery I measured my waist at 33 inch. This fits well. The surgeon sends you home in a compression garment that holds you in well, but within a week, that garment starts rolling down at the top and up at the bottom, especially as you sleep or move around. I found myself in a constant struggle to keep it in place, which defeats the purpose. Frustrated, I went online and began searching for something sturdier and longer lasting, given that I'll need to continue wearing compression wear for several weeks to months. I looked at many options online and on Amazon. I finally decided to give this one a try. The price I paid was $22, and the reviews were good. I also like that this is intended for medical application - post partum. I figured it could work similarly for those who are post tummy tuck, and I was right. This garment comes in two pieces, and you wrap it around yourself to the desired tightness. It attaches by velcro. The larger piece I use on the top of my abdomen just under the breast area and it reaches just below my belly button. Depending on my mood, I am able to pull this sucker as tight as I want, or just tight enough to achieve the prescribed post surgical purpose. And there is so much support! I love it. I then wrap the second smaller piece around the little pooch of my tummy on and under the belly button to just above the pubic area. Again, I can stretch it as tightly as I want. With the two pieces, I am now compressed from just under my boob line (that's a medical term, by the way), to right above my pubic area. On me, there is even a bit of overlap between the two pieces. This belt is world's better than the one provided by my plastic surgeon which stopped being truly functional after about a week and which cost me $48 -- more than double what I paid for this item, which is much higher quality. In fact, I plan on wearing this belt to my next follow up appointment to show my doctor an alternative that he might want to consider using or recommending for his patients after the garment he provides begins to fail. My only regret is that I did not research this before surgery and have it at home, ready to go when it was time to transition out of the quickly-worn-out-and-entirely-too-expensive-white-basic-belt routinely used by most plastic surgeons. I have only been wearing this a few days, so I can't comment on it's longevity, but it seems like it'll last a while, even with months of 24/7 wear. We shall see, but at this price point, even if it were to wear out after a month or two of wear and washing, I would buy another as I intend to continue wearing compression garments for several months to ensure the best possible results of my very expensive procedure. My boyfriend tells me this doesn't add bulk under my clothes. I wore a dress that used to be form fitting before my surgery, and he was impressed that he couldn't even tell I was wearing the belt under my dress. Even so, I'm experimenting with other compression belts for when I have to return to work and wear business suit attire. I haven't tried this under my work clothes yet, but in these hot, muggy, oppressively humid Florida streets, I can tell you that too many layers of clothing can be a bad thing. Still, even if I'm not using this under my lined suits during the work day, I'll be wearing it at home, to sleep, and running errands. It's very comfortable and pulls me in so tight I haven't been able to finish my dinner the last two nights. And I like that. Don't be like me and spend hours reading reviews and scrolling through endless options. If you're in need of abdominal compression, just buy this. Just do it. The time I spent researching before buying this could have been spent on much better activities like Netflixing, petting my cat, or aggravating my kid for my personal amusement. ... show more

  • Good for any abdominal surgery too
Sorry my review is late, I had purchased these way in advance before having a hysterectomy. I had fibroids the size of a full term pregnancy and knew I would need help getting my skin and organs back in place post surgery. So after week 2 I started wearing the pelvis belt and sometimes the waist belt. I was way too tender to wear right after surgery. I feel like it's helping the saggy pouch shrink back. Makes it more comfortable to walk around in and easier to cough and sneeze. It does bother me sitting tho. But that could be just me. They had to cut thru a lot of layers (vertical incision). This should also be advertised for any abdominal surgery. I never had kids so I cut the labels off thinking it would depress me but I actually don't care. These are well made and don't smell of anything. They have extra adjustable straps and it's great you get to choose which ones to use. Buying one long one may slip and move around plus they don't target the lower belly hang. These however stay in place! I wish I could sleep with them on but not recommended. Not sure why. I know it should be 4-5 hrs at a time. Maybe I'll try for half the night, it just feels weird to lay on my side because of gravity with everything still loose. Good luck on all your recoveries🍀 ... show more

  • Worth Every Penny! (Purchased for Hysterectomy Recovery) Worth Every Penny! (Purchased for Hysterectomy Recovery)
Color: Black Size: Large
I don’t think I can say enough positive things about this waist support (postpartum belly wrap)! I purchased this not for the reason it is completely sold for, but after looking through so many this seemed the best solution for me. Quality and support I was looking for. I had a hysterectomy, abdominal mass/size of a tennis ball cut out and a umbilical plasty all at the same time. So recovering looked a bit different for me than just a hysterectomy. I have a one site davinci hysterectomy but being the mass was so large I was eventually cut open vertically from the top of my belly button to my pubic Reston almost. I already have lots of medical stuff going on (many autoimmune) therefore internal support wasn’t allowed on my as my body would attract any foreign material. (ie..mesh) therefore I was stitched up with permanent internal sutures. My body needs support longer than the average 2 weeks recommend and told I need to wear abdominal support for min 4 weeks but possibly 8 weeks. Until all healing is completed. I’ve been an athlete most my life and still fear after recovery I will need additional support. I’m 2 weeks out now and the medical waist band I was sent home with just wasn’t cutting it. I needed more support and imo higher and lower support (which this being three pieces, makes using it ideal for lots of situations). It has a belly support, waist support and a pelvis support. I have all three on but you can decide the width distance for each. Or just wear one. I love that. I had to write a review as it has been amazing so far. I only have had it for one day total. I wore it all of yesterday and through the night and starting today and the support it has provided is top notch. I’m so happy I selected this one and reading the reviews helped me decide. I wanted the cream/nude one, but shipping was going to take a few days longer and this one was next day! So because I wanted it immediately I went with the black. I now will go and buy the nude as well. It’s perfect for all day/night wear. It’s great for walking my dog. I cough from time to time. This stops all stress on my abdomen. I hurt way less. I wore my medical hospital one in the evening and woke up with such back pain. I didn’t have the same pain when I got up this morning. It supports but doesn’t over stress one area. I’m eager to train again in the gym and will be bringing this with me. I wish I would of had this right out of surgery. I think it would of helped a ton. I was grossly swollen and looked like I was 6 months pregnant. I have 5 kids and know what it feels/ looks like to be pregnant. After all my pregnancies (which all were csections) I also wish I would of had this. Well I hope this review helped and let’s others know it can be used for many reasons. -Jessica ... show more

  • Mostly good
Color: Black Size: X-Large
The bad: Deductions for 1. the Velcro does stick very well on one of the belts, 2. The boning is not removable, 3. The boning is in an odd position on one of the belts and it's intrusive. 4. The top belt rolls down on the back edges ( back fat ) 5. ( Short statured, short torso problem) Difficult to position beneath breasts. 6. I could probably get by with 2 belts but the way they're set up and what I need them for I have to use all three The good: 1. It seems to be a Very nice quality abdominal binder set. 2. Mostly comfortable. 3. Easy to breathe. 4. Doesn't cause sweating 5. The 3 belts Covers from under breast to mid hip area ( short statured) 6. It feels good to have that extra back and abdominal support ... show more

  • Great for Postpartum Pelvic and Back Support
Color: Beige Size: Large
Had my third baby three weeks ago and wanted to try a postpartum belly binder this time around. I've been wearing the belly band with the wait support band for the last few days and have finally found some relief with my back pain. Since delivering this time around, I've felt like I was still walking around pregnant and it was painful in my back and pelvis. These bands help support my back and encourage my ribs and other internal organs to move back to my prepregnancy positions. The band itself is very discreet yet extremely supportive. The materials like the stretch elastic and Velcro are good quality and keep the band in place. The compression can be adjusted as needed for the perfect fit. Overall great quality especially for the price. ... show more

  • This is the BEST choice in a binder; not just for postpartum use
Color: Black Size: S/M
Post-partum, pre-surgery, post-surgery, back support, you name it, I would choose this binder ten times over! I've had to wear a binder on and off for twenty years for various health conditions. This is the best one I've found in terms of support and adjustability. Admittedly, using it the first couple of times was a little complicated because it has three separate parts, but it's the three separate parts that make it so adjustable so you can get each part the right size. Each part is labeled so you put them on in the right locations. You can close it tightly without help from another person, although the first time or two around a second person helps to figure it out. I'm supposed to wear it very, very tightly this time around for abdominal and back support and compression in preparation for surgery, and I can get it to fit perfectly. You can also skip the top or the bottom section depending on your needs. It's so much better than a binder with one big piece of velcro that somehow has to fit from lower abdomen to lower chest when people have all different sorts of proportions. It's always too loose somewhere in those cases, and many really require a second person to get it anywhere near tight enough for anyone's use. It's more height-adjustable than the usual ones because the sections can overlap to whatever degree fits one's body. It's in the same price range as other binders that do not work nearly as well. I'm on the shorter side (5'2") with long legs but a short torso, and I am relatively thin (~115 lbs.), and the women's small/medium works for me. i could easily weigh 25 lbs less or 35 lbs more, and I know this one would still fit because it has long stretches of velcro fit many people. My regular clothes fit over it. I would see the outline of it if I wore a tight top over it, but I think that's inevitable. ... show more
