Description

The aerodynamically designed, mid-profile Chill HE RV roof air conditioner by Furrion provides stable temperature control, improved running efficiency and reduced operating noise to meet the demands of any mobile living condition. It is engineered with dual-fan technology to be up to 40% more efficient (EER) over single-fan models. One fan pushes cold air from the compressor into the RV, while the other keeps the primary fan cool. This allows for optimal fan speed, less heat generation and overall increased airflow.The Furrion Chill HE has a lightweight, aerodynamic design for less wind resistance and maximum fuel efficiency on the road. A lightweight, insulated heat exchanger housing protects the unit from the outdoor elements, and it is constructed with Vibrationsmart and Climatesmart technologies to withstand rigorous conditions and environments.The Furrion Chill HE RV AC unit easily bolts into place and comes with complete step-by-step instructions for a hassle-free installation. I love this AC. it was easy to replace my 5 year old coleman mach and it literally chills the RV. The only problem is that i thought getting a white shroud would keep it cooler. It doesnt matter, the whole thing is insulated inside with foam. The white or black is an aesthetic thing. Get a white one if your RV is white, and get a black one if your RV is dark. If you dont, you'll have this weird white thing sticking up from the top of a black RV. I want a black shroud now. I got the white. It still get hot, so dont worry about trying to save a few insignificant unmeasured heat differences. But the thing really works, was packaged nicely, and installed it by myself. I picked it up on my back and carried it up on a ladder. Its heavy. But if your frikin strong, you can do it. Im not strong, just dumb. Goodluck and stay cool out there. ... show more

I bought this for a slide in truck camper, the one that’s sits in bed of truck. It can’t keep it cool in July Florida weather. Camper is fully insulated and has blackouts on windows. Inside of camper is in the 90’s. Yes it blows cold air but the bottom line is a 13.5k btu of this model can’t ever get it lower than 75 even if running nonstop for days. Second gripe is that I had no idea which control panel for inside camper to purchase and of course I got the wrong one. I can’t return it because the people are being way too vague on restocking fee and other penalties I would face since it was installed and technically used. It is low power draw and looks nice and it works, but I am super annoyed it isn’t powerful enough for a truck camper. Come on. ... show more

(I purchased 2) These units are a great replacement for the Coleman Mach AC’s that we had which were 14 years old. They run much quieter inside and outside you barely hear the separate fan running. I’m fairly handy and only needed help getting old/new units off/on the roof. My install required adapter kits for mounting and connections but it was all plug and play. Retained original functionality of the controls as well. Camping this last summer in 94° heat outside was comfortable at 68° to 70° inside the RV. They have performed exceptionally well, run quietly and are a great value for the cost. ... show more

    • Cools off camper quickly unless it's cooler than 80

I like the size of the unit and it moves a lot of air. When it's hot outside it works great and keeps the camper cooler than the Coleman it replaced. However when it's less than about 80 outside it will freeze up. I've run it without air filter and diverter and it will still freeze so it's not a airflow problem. The product worked for a few days and then quit. Called RV certified workers and they fixed the AC, the fan was too close to the inside guts that it couldn't move. Easy installation but a major defect in the quality.

Easy to install and works great. My OEM unit only lasted two seasons (matched the warranty period) and gave up the ghost. Getting ready to order a second unit for the front bedroom of our camper.
