The media could not be loaded. It was easy to put together. . The nuts and bolts were kinda small. Very sturdy! It came with fake eggs to entice the chickens too! I have 4 hens this has 3 compartments, but they used to live in a dome dog kennel( in their enclosure) and they used to take turns going in to lay their eggs. So I’m pretty sure they will take turns again. I have 2 Rhode Island reds, a blue lace Wyandotte and another hen that I guess is just a mix ( she looks like a rooster) They all went to check out the new nesting boxes and they are just the right size, my birds are pretty big. They have enough room to go in and turn around and set. Today I got my first “ nesting boxes” egg. It was so big that it pushed the fake egg into the collection tray and it stayed in the nest. All in all, I think this is a good purchase.

I had a serious problem with the chickens eating their eggs. I purchased this item after reading various reviews. We have used it for two days and... a complete success! The chickens used it right away, clean eggs rolled into the collection box, and none got eaten. Assembly was a bit tricky in places, but overall easy enough using the assembly video (on Amazon site) and the instruction booklet. Hardest part was figuring out how to slide the plastic trays into place at the end (easy once I saw how it worked). The nesting box is designed to be hung from a wall, but I put it on the floor of the coop where the previous nesting boxes had been. I placed a 3-ft length of 2x4 along the back so that the floor of the nesting boxes would be at the correct angle to roll the eggs.

I am new to raising chickens. My friend recommended this to me. The order came fast and set up was easy, hardest part was holding the screws becasuse they are tiny so I dropped them several times. Not an issue. This nesting box is of great quality, It is all metal except the inserts which are a heavy duty plastic. Upon set up I placed it in the coop and put some bedding inside, however my chickens are not even close to being ready to lay eggs, so I can't speak to the ability of them wanting to be in there for that purpose. I can speak to the quality of this nesting box which I would say is excellent. The orange color is great, the instructions were VERY CLEAR and the booklet to install it was actualy amazing with full color detailed instructions AND contact information if you needed help! I put this together in about 20 minutes using a small screw gun. I carried it out to the chicken coop alone, it is great! One person can handle this with no issues.

I put this together myself and it's been months and months. It still looks good. I like it. The chickens still aren't interested in it--but they are free-range/wild chickens. And maybe the time will eventually come. Or maybe I need to relocate it. It's sturdy quality so far. No regrets, especially for the price compared to others.

This is one of the best things I have bought for my chickens. It’s so nice to have clean eggs. They truly roll down into the bin. I can’t believe my girls use it without any bedding. I’ve never had any luck with the boxes or small homes. I am so happy this works. I’ve had it for a couple of months mounted to the wall near the floor and it seems to be holding up just fine. So far it’s been worth every penny.

It’s alright, i’m going to keep it. The metal is very thin and stick together so it bent when I took it apart. I had to fix it all to get it together. The directions are terrible so hopefully you’re handy and have tools (yes, since you have chickens?) the mounting options are not great so plan on alternatives. I just put it in and added a chicken for effect, no idea if they’ll like it better than the wooden ones I had
