I originally got this thinking it would be used more as a dust bath, but my ducks had other plans. The second I put it out with sand in it, they would not stop going over to it, and I could already tell what they were thinking — they wanted water in it. As soon as I switched it out and filled it up, they absolutely loved it. They keep jumping in and out of it all day, and it has worked out perfectly as a duck pool. It’s also really easy to drain and clean, which makes a huge difference when you’re dealing with ducks because they can turn clean water into a mess in no time. What really surprised me was the quality. It’s much better made than I expected, and it feels like a product that will hold up well. I’m honestly so happy with it that as soon as I get my next paycheck, I plan on buying another one for my chickens. I’ll also definitely be checking to see if this company makes a shallower version for ducklings, because I would buy that too in a heartbeat. And if they don’t, they really should. This has held up so far for our chickens. I love that it is mobile, and we can keep it in an area away from moisture or rain. On rainy weeks/months, the birds don’t have anywhere to dust bathe and this solved that for us. It took them about a week to realize what it was, but once they did they sometimes pile in there 3-4 at a time and take a dust bath together. I also like that it allows us to create the dust mixture rather than just relying on the dirt we have in the backyard. Great product and very sturdy so far. This product I used for my hen and put product in it so they can dust themselves. I had a problem with the cover because it takes two people to put on. The cover should be designed different. Example: It rained and I had water on the cover. I could not get the water out easily without taking the cover off and guess what? The rain water got all over their dusting product. ... show more

I’m really happy with this chicken dust tub bath! 🐔 It’s sturdy, the perfect size for my flock, and super easy to set up in the coop area. My chickens absolutely love jumping in and rolling around in the dust—it keeps them entertained and helps them stay clean. One thing I’ve found that works great is adding a small amount of water on warmer days so the dust is slightly damp.
