Easy to assemble. Some panels arrived damaged, but were still functional (aesthetic damage only). We will upgrade some small improvements for improved predator security such as the removable nesting box bottom, the barrel lock on the door & an additional latch opposite the current latch on the door since it does not close flush with the wall. I can appreciate the removable tray for ease of cleaning, but it only removes in one direction so that needs to be considered when adding the run. Appearance is nice. Not too heavy. Good size for my 6 ducks- 1 pekin, 1 Ancona, 2 SA & 2 WH.

Thought this thing was going to hold 10-15 chickens. Maybe if they are small breeds but even small breeds this will be a stretch. The "Coop" or Roosting area is maybe 3ft by 3ft wide with an additional 8in by 3ft nesting box on both sides. The building materials were made of mostly real wood. Smells like Cedar wood so at least it may be rot resistant. But the material may be half an inch thick and the way this assembles there basically no support bracing to keep this from coming tumbling down with a heavy wind. I am going to use a few 2x4 and do some reinforcement to keep it viable. I would also recommend a good exterior paint because even though cedar is rot resistant its to thin of a material to last very long without some serious help. The good thing. Man was this packages great, which proves the point of weak materials now that i think about it. This was 100% not worth the 800 dollar + 200 dollar shipping. This may be a 200$ Chicken Run. Would have been better off buying one of the Tractor Supply units same size and less than half the cost. Overall I would not buy this unless its needed temporarily and for no more than 4-5 chickens (even small breed)

I bought this coop several months ago to save me time and money in building my own, and I'm not entirely sure that worked out for me. Here's what the coop does really well: - Price. I looked around a lot, and this is probably the best price for what it is. - Ease of setup. Anyone can do it. The instructions are easy to follow and it doesn't take a lot of time. - Looking good. I like the look of this coop. It's cute and reasonably well-made. Here are my main problems with this coop: - Ventilation. Two tiny holes is not enough. I had to cut my own ventilation holes and covered them with hardware cloth. - Maintenance. If you want to use the deep-litter method for a low-maintenance coop, don't buy this product unless you are ready and willing to do some significant customization. I did—it works well and wasn't difficult, but it took extra wood, hardware cloth, sealant, and time. - Door. The chicken door is honestly next to useless. It opens and closes only with great difficulty, and has to be operated from inside the run. If you buy this coop, plan on either leaving the door open all the time or installing a new one. - Roost bar. Ideally, the roost bar would be above the nest box, but that is not the case with this coop. As a result, I end up with a lot of chicken poop in the nest box because they are roosting there instead. Unfortunately there's not a great option to raise the roost bar without a bit more customization. I'm weighing the options for that right now. Summary: I needed something relatively cheap that I could customize. I used the covered run area for a duck house and attached both to a larger, walk-in run that I ordered from another seller, so I was never intending to use this product as it came to me. But I wish I hadn't had to make my own ventilation or create a deeper tray for using the deep litter method, and I really wish the door wasn't so poorly made. That being said, this is probably a good starter coop if you have two or three small-sized backyard hens. If you want more than that, this still might be a good option if you are willing to make a few customizations. I waited until now to write the review so that I could see it in use for a reasonable amount of time. It has held up well, but that is probably due in part to the high-quality paint that I covered it with.

My son and I put this chicken coop together in roughly an hour. It went together easily and the instructions were clear enough to understand assembly. Upon final assembly, I elected to place pavers under the coops feet to prevent it from sitting directly on the ground and rotting from moisture. My chickens seem to love this coop and go inside to lay their eggs.

Good coops. Easy to assemble. Not perfect but they work well. The bottom pull out for cleaning does not work well so I just shovel out from the big side door. Rain will leak into the bottom of the side door so I now have a piece of plywood leaning against the coops which works well. I also placed a piece of plywood over the top of the run so they have a covered area. I use furring strips to screw plastic to the sides of the run in winter (northern WI) which keeps them cozy. Buried hardware cloth around the sides to keep out predators. I made a larger run for daytime then lock the doors of the secure little run at night. Easily fits 10+ birds with a large feeder on the inside. I do not place a heater in the winter and they do just fine. 2+ years of use and it’s still holding up well. Not the greatest construction (thin walls) but works fine. It is nice to have 2 as I can separate birds if needed as I do when I introduce new baby chicks.

It’s a good starter. Me my wife and kids all worked on it. It is flimsy so what I did was I built it on a 4x4 runner so I can drag it around the yard or move it for whatever reason because once you build it you’re not moving it. Definitely needs to be painted but that’s common sense. Overall as a beginner I would recommend. Price isn’t bad compared to others that are more expensive and way smaller.
