As soon as it came in the mail my husband put it together and we transferred the chicks from the bin. Freedom! Run around, up and down. I highly recommend this coop. Safe secure. You can place the warming lamp on the outside and they will congregate around its warmth if it is cold. With spring we no longer use it. They all go up in the loft at sunset, just like my friends said they would, and sleep till daybreak. ***I put a heavy-duty large black garbage bag opened by its seams down on the floor (do not do this on carpet since there will be leaks somewhere) and then rolled the coup on top. I put down newspapers and changed it twice a day. Outside they can scratch in the grass! ***My husband is an engineer and did change one of its designs: the wheels are TOO SMALL for the coup to clear the uneven grass, house foundation, etc. See photo. It needs bigger wheels. Everything else is fantastic. ... show more

I knew the coop was small but it’s much smaller than I anticipated. It does the job for chicks but MAX 2 adults would fit and it will be crowded. It is cheaply made and the nesting box lid hardware screws are tiny and ripped out after a few days. Knowing what I do today, I would not have purchased.

It's super cute but way too small..... I don't see this coop lasting a full year outside..... 🤔 it definitely won't prevent coyotes from being able to get your chickens

This is the cheapest piece of junk. The directions were horrible. It should be a crime to sell something this poorly made. Going to have to build a run to protect this thing. I have 4 hens and it is filled. To bad their isn't a zero star option.

I ordered this house for my chickens because when I read above it said this house was for 20 chickens, and when it arrived and I put it together, I saw the house and I didn't like it because it's a house for babies. I mean, they should tell the truth.
