Never have I been more disappointed in an Amazon provider than I am with this company! 1st I had requested a discount because of poor craftsmanship. They gave me a small refund, good on them, I was still feeling “taken advantage of “ but agreed to keep it and put the coop together. Now is the 1st time I have tried to move the coop!,.;( the back wall under the hutches and where the wheels are attached cracked up side allowing the floors to fall out. The whole problem is - is the wood used is a soft almost balsa wood type wood not the hardwood they describe!

I have a flock of almost layers and I wanted them to know where the eggs go when the time comes. This pack of eggs came with so many more than I originally thought! They are finished with a shiny finish, so you won’t mistake them for your real eggs when collecting in the coop. They’re also very hard, and I think if I was having an issue with an egg cracking hen these would be a great solution to curb that issue quickly! A few pecks to these would definitely discourage any further unwanted behaviors. These have been a great addition to my coop and I’m happy to report that I now have two hens laying beside these eggs!

This thing is absolutely AWFUL! It is not sturdy. One night of use the board that holds the slider panels broke, the handle for the sliding door broke, the run door will not line up correctly. There’s a gap under the nesting boxes. Absolutely AWFUL!!!!!!! Amazon required me to give a star. The only star this deserves is -5

First off this listing has changed since I got the item I ordered (wooden eggs) as the seller is usurping the old listing to get more ratings. That being said, take caution and read the reviews that pertain to the actual item being sold before you choose to buy. LOL, Amazon didn't like what else I had to say so I had to change it. That being said: Here is my review for the item this listing was for a set of wooden eggs for nesting chickens. -The eggs came in well packaged and in perfect shape. -They are very sturdy and are holding up great. -They are not losing color like some others have. -The chicken accepted these much better than the plastic or ceramic ones we have tried in the past. These worked great at training the new batch of hens where to lay. If they had not changed the listing these would have definitely been a 5 star set of eggs.

If you have chickens, you've probably been through this yourself. Your new layers sometimes need to be encouraged to get up in the laying boxes to lay their eggs. Putting decoy eggs into your laying boxes triggers something in them that makes them want to get up in there and sit on those eggs. Our ladies are just about to be of the age to start laying so we picked these up to help encourage them to see the laying boxes as a safe place to lay their eggs. Almost as soon as we put them in there the ladies came up into the coop and started checking them out. There instincts and biological clocks are starting to get them in the mode to look for places to lay and this just helps steer them in the right direction. These eggs are almost indistinguishable from real eggs. You can't even tell they're made of wood. They feel perfectly solid and are even about the same weight as a real egg. We've actually combined them with some brown ones too in the hopes that they'll get used to seeing either color there. Besides encouraging them to get up in the laying boxes, another thing using decoy eggs accomplishes is it keeps them from pecking at the eggs trying to break them. If they learn they can't do it with the fakes, they won't try it with the real eggs. Hopefully this will save you some cracked eggs. These eggs are perfect for the mission. I can easily recommend them.
