    • It's ok
We have a lot of outdoor animals, and sometimes we need to separate and protect certain ones for a short amount of time (quarantining a chicken, keeping a sick cat under close watch, etc). This is good for one or two small animals for a short amount of time. We use it in a protected barn. This is NOT a coop. There's is no protection from weather, and no protection from a raccoon or opossum that could grab a chicken from any direction on this, including below. For chickens, we'll use this in a locked barn stall where it would be very difficult for a predator to get to them. The pros are that most small poop can fall through (especially if you don't use the little white mat), and that it's lifted off the ground to accommodate that, plus having a floor makes it easier to move since you can simply lift the crate up without the animal running out from the bottom. The door works pretty easily. The welds seem fairly solid. The cons: the price is a bit high for this at $87. They have a picture on the website that shows several chickens in this. I wouldn't do this longer than overnight. There's not enough room. The instructions are not good. Parts of it read like it was written by an 8 year old. The pictures are too small to determine which sides to face out if you can't figure it out on your own. They also have the very last step as what should have been the very first step (putting the rubber gaskets in). I had leftovers at the end because I wasn't unscrewing everything to put them in, especially since this won't be out in the elements much. The fit of the parts is unwieldy when trying to assemble, and a bit tight once you actually have the gaskets in. On the one hand, I like to be able to take the top off for ease of picking up the animal easily. On the other hand, the raccoons would like this too if you're leaving this out (which once again, I do not suggest this). If you have a wild puppy or some crazy chickens flopping around, it's possible they could knock the top loose and either have it land on them or dislocate it enough that they could get out. You could easily zip tie it if that could be a problem. So, all that to say . . . it's ok. I've seen better cages and I've seen worse. It is fine for transporting small/medium farm animals (a small goat would fit in this) in the bed of a truck so that they're not lying down in their own waste. Just make sure to secure it with ties as it will scoot around a bedliner. ... show more

This MUDUOBAN metal chicken coop is sturdy, made of thick material, and has strong welds, resulting in excellent overall stability. I use it to keep a few chickens, and the space is just right; four chickens can move around comfortably inside. The coop height is moderate, making cleaning and feeding easy, and the mesh spacing is also well-designed, so there's no need to worry about small animals getting out. The door opens and closes smoothly, and the lockable design provides good security. The included mat is removable and washable, making cleaning very convenient. It offers good overall protection, and I don't have to worry too much about my pets being disturbed by other wild animals when it's outdoors at night. The only minor drawback is that there are quite a few screws during assembly, requiring a little patience, but it's very stable once assembled. Overall, it offers great value for money and is very practical for keeping chickens, rabbits, or as a temporary habitat for small animals. ... show more
