If you’re anything like me and you want to build your own nesting boxes but keep putting it off, this is a really great standby. I wasn’t crazy about the quality of the floor boards but those can easily be replaced with thicker ones. I am going to line them with dollar store table mats to delay deterioration from moisture. If you are looking for something quick, this is worth it. It’s a good quality. I didn’t like that one of the pieces were chipped, though it fortunately didn’t make a difference in the actual construction. If you prefer a more solid permanent structure with a bit more weight, I wouldn’t go for this particular product. Just prepare to shell out a bit more money. However, this works for my situation and I think it’ll last a while until I make my own. The instructions were pretty simple to follow. Just one quirk. When installing the roosting bars, I noticed that they didn’t line up exactly like the picture in the instructions because of the block screws. So my advice would be to center them first, then screw them into the kick boards. Overall, a good value for the money and though the material is light, I wouldn’t say it’s flimsy at all. ... show more

We love our nesting boxes! I ordered 2 and one was delivered early the other a day late (not the fault of the seller). I had contacted the seller when the one hadn’t arrived and they responded quickly. I would and probably will be buying more in the future. Very satisfied all around.

This was so easy to put together. I did it with no help. The instructions were very easy to follow. It houses all my small chicks (24 of them) just fine until they get older. I even put a chicken coop inside. The little doors at the bottom are perfect for letting the little guys out to free range.

I was excited to get this coop for my small backyard flock, thinking it would be a sturdy starter home for my chickens. Boy, was I wrong. This thing is an absolute joke – poorly constructed, flimsy, and about as secure as a cardboard box in a rainstorm. Within five minutes of assembling and installing it, my piglet (who’s always been a curious escape artist) tore right through the side trying to get at the chick feed I’d just stocked inside. The wood splintered like balsa, and the wire mesh? Non-existent or paper-thin at best. It didn’t even slow him down. Assembly was a nightmare too – instructions were vague, pieces didn’t fit right, and the nesting box felt like an afterthought tacked on with cheap staples. Forget about weatherproofing; if a determined piglet can demolish it that fast, imagine what raccoons or foxes would do at night. My poor chicks were terrified, and I spent the next hour scrambling to reinforce it with my own hardware store run. Save your cash and your sanity. This coop is garbage for anyone serious about keeping their birds safe. Look elsewhere – maybe a metal one or something from a reputable brand. Total disappointment. ... show more

Updating my review after a month and reducing the stars. Very flimsy material. This is absolutely not going to last. The nesting boxes are under the poo shelf under the roost bar. I set a 20 pound bag of feed on the shelf above the boxes not even on them and the weight of just that cracked the top support bar of the nesting boxes. Its super flimsy particle board material. It'll be fine for now but knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bought it, not much value for how much it cost. ... show more

Easy to build however way smoother with help! It is smaller than shown! 5’3 and I have to duck to go in. It is very cute and will serve its purpose. Is a little wobbly so I would build it where you want it to be
