I've had this on my chicken coop for about 6 months. Makes my life a lot easier! It's easy to install, easy to setup, the solar power works well, even on cloudy days, I have enough charge to open and close the door multiple times. It has a remote, so I have it set to close automatically a good 45 minutes after dark to make sure everyone gets in on time, but I can also use the remote to open and close it when I need to-for cleaning or whatever, while the auto setting remains. My only complaint (which is actually not a bad thing, considering what could happen) is that the door hates to touch anything when closing. So if the chickens track in pine needles/debris in the track it won't close. It will start to and then go back up. I am buying another for another coop. ... show more

After enjoying years of quiet safety, a gang of raccoons have moved into our neighborhood and our sweet flock is in mortal danger. Don't ask how we found out. The grief is still too new. This door has been a literal lifesaver. With a few minute glitches in the beginning as we adjusted to it's operations, it's absolutely restored peace and safety in our little corner. So far, these auto doors have been great. Easy to program and set up. I love that they’re made from solid aluminum rather than plastic. I worry that a fox or determined critter could break the plastic door. Definitely a good price and good product. And the solar feature keeps me from needing to worry about batteries going dead. I will definitely buy these again when needed. ... show more

Our DIY coop is made of PVC and strong wire cloth. I was concerned with attaching the door to the wire cloth, but it worked perfectly! Once installed, it was a breeze to setup. We are using the timer setting and haven't had an issue yet. The door is sturdy and provides more than enough space through the opening. A great value. I have this coop door for 2 days. So far so good; It's working and opening/closing as expected. I am amazed with the range of the remote controller. My coop and my office on the second floor are on opposite corners on a 13,000+ square ft lot, and I was curious on the range of the remote controller; The door was able to respond to the remote controller, and I was amazed. I do not plan on using the remote controller, but I keep the remote controller in the drawer by my bed and two AAA batteries removed (I do not want bad batteries to unintentionally open or close my coop). I feel the door size is a bit small, but my black jersey giant was getting in and out fine. Looks fine. I thought the door was pink from the photos, but it's actually red. ... show more

This door has been great. Easy install amd works perfectly. I haven't had any issues with the solar or programming. My chickens are safe and this has made caring for my birds easier and less worrisome. Update* I was happy with the door initially but after about 2 months it started opening randomly. I thought it could be sensitive to debris but even after cleaning the area it wont close completely and will open and close for no reason. Im going to have to purchase another one because I cant rely on this one to stay shut during the night. I am awaiting a response from the seller. 😔 Update* seller responded quickly and had me try a couple solutions that didnt help so they are sending out a new one to replace it. ... show more
