Nice little piece of equipment. I’ve used it twice so far. I’m a small time quail raiser, raising for family consumption. It wasn’t difficult to put together but the screws to attach the light were wrong so I substituted some I had. I have indoor cats so I do put mine inside an extra pet cage and I did glue in and then added tape to the front plastic see- through panel bc my adopted feral- turned self domesticated hunter cat likes to stick her hand through the bars to look for weak spots 😂 but I like it. I use it the first week for my cortunix quail hatches. It’s not hard to clean and I think it’ll hold up for quite a while as long as you have a floor covering like a puppy pad or some paper and then about 2 inches up on all sides. The light is POWERFUl so no worries about keeping the heat up. It’s good for us small time ppl and I paid $40 for it so I’m happy with the value as long as you clean it properly which you should be doing with any brooder. I’d buy another one of it if my numbers of hatches got higher. Very pleased. ... show more

unsafe! the light does not come assembled so you have to do it yourself. The wood is VERY cheap and poorly designed. Haveing the heat light attatched to the wood (as shown in the description) made a burn mark on the wood and smoke. This should NOT be used for ANYTHING alive, and also is unsafe to use in the house unless you want a fire. ... show more

The wood is very lightweight, and I was worried that the screws would split it. That didn't happen and the screws were easy to get into the soft wood, so assembly was relatively easy. The clear panels don't fit perfectly, but they will do. The light element needs to be assembled, so watch the video if you've never done this before. I needed wire strippers because the wires that were exposed broke off when I screwed them into the fixture. The "diapers" fit very well. The thermometer/hydrometer is in Celsius and had no instructions to adjust it. The feeders are very small and I anticipate them tipping over often. The little clips that look like they are holding the feeders to the wall actually don't work because they need to be inserted into the wood, which isn't an option. Overall, I think it's decent. I think it could be cheaper or improved quality to meet the price. I also think the idea that it will hold up to 20 birds is ridiculous. It would do that for about a week, but then they will be too big. I think 10 birds is likely it's maximum capacity, and only for a few weeks. ... show more

Got it for quails, but should be decent for chickens and ducklings too depending on quantity of chicks. Gets the job done. Easy to build. Heat lamp is strong but also the heat is adjustable as chicks grow. Build is sturdy. Great product and great pricing. I recommend. Easy to clean. Size is good.

if you want small cheap starter Bruder for chickens or quails, this is for you. let me emphasize it is cheap and it is small. I got it for quails. Make sure you read the comments. The wood is cheap flimsy and uneven so when you’re putting it together, pay attention light doesn’t come with instructions how to set it up, but I posted a photo so you know where which wires go where it four stars it was what I was looking for I needed something cheap. I didn’t want to spend $100 and I was getting quails so I didn’t need something big. if you plan to use this more than once, I suggest you seal it with a paint sealer a wood finish anything it’s made with that compression board so if it gets wet, it’ll just absorb and get mushy. get some extra rubber doorstop little ones so that when you close the top door, it doesn’t slam and scare your chicks ... show more

SMALL can't fit more than 2 chicks (after they grow huge in a week ) I put 4 and after a week and a half they are super agitated in this small space thermometer sucked dosent give accurate quick real time readings of the tempature and broke easily while cleaning it feeder and waterer are tiny and the feeder clogged up easily blocking the food for the chick's lamp is 25w NOT 50w as advertised now for the pros: cheap strong nice design comes with everything you need (technically) except for food conclusion: ONLY buy if using this for 1- 2 chicks ... show more

Extremely small, considering the picture has a puppy a turtle and a guinea pig pig on it. I was absolutely mortified when I put it together, and it could barely fit a hamster I will likely be using it for the first two days of their lives and then having to upgrade something bigger honestly, this reminds me of a toy more than anything else the light is impossible to put together and overall it’s just really cheaply made strongly discouraged buying this for any animal ... show more
