Awesome heat emmiting pad. I plan to get chickens in the future, but for right now I'm using this to keep my dog/cats bed area warm on the porch. This is great compared to a heater or a heat lamp, because it does not get overly hot. I don't have to worry about a fire at night either. This is a nice unit for keeping chicks warm. Sets up quickly and heats up really fast. The controls are easy to use and understand. When the cold nights hit this will keep my chicks warm and cozy. The size is good and should work for 20 plus chicks.

This was easy to set up. I had been using a heat lamp and was not sure the chicks were warm enough. Once I set up the Anti-Scald Graphene Brooder Plate with Remote Control, the chicks immediately got under it and they stopped complaining. The top is easy to clean and now that they have grown a bit, they spend as much time on top as they do under it. Yes, I have adjusted it for height about every week. I will start off saying this is a great brooder, I love the adjustability, heats up quickly, easy to set up. The one thing that made this a no go was if the electric goes out it doesn't come back on when power is restored.     • Won't get warm enough. Remote is worthless.

Even at the lowest height and the highest heat, it would only get to 89 degrees when chicks needed 95. The "remote" has to be held directly over it - when I could reach the controls on the top by then. Set at 195 degrees, only 89 degrees isn't acceptable. Returned.
