Description

The 1-rated Chicco KeyFit 30 Zip Infant Car Seat is engineered with innovative features that make it the easiest infant car seat to install simply, accurately, and securely every time. It also features stylish zipper accents and a quick-remove seat pad for machine washing. The KeyFit 30 Zip's stay-in-car base has a ReclineSure leveling foot and two Ride Right bubble level-indicators to help achieve and verify proper angle in the vehicle seat. The base is also equipped with premium LATCH connectors and a Super Cinch tightener for a secure fit with a fraction of the effort. For alternate installation with the vehicle seat belt, clear belt routing and integrated lock-offs make it easy to position, tighten and lock the belt into place. A smooth underside helps protect vehicle seats from damage. To accommodate newborns, the car seat carrier includes removable head and body support with reversible knit/mesh fabrics for all-season comfort.

This is an excellent car seat. I did a lot of research to make sure I was choosing the right car seat for us. It fits great in the center of the backseat of my Honda CRV with plenty of room for adults to ride on both sides (we only have one child so far, but the plan is that this will fit well next to additional car seats). It was easy to install. The release button is easy to push and release the straps (I noticed this was not so on the Britax Marathon which I was also considering). As for the color, I was hoping it would be more in the teal family, not so - it is VERY much a GREEN color. My husband of course loves it, so when we get the chance I will upgrade to a better color and he can have this model in his car. In the pictures my daughter is 17 months(she's below average in height), and as you can tell she fits very well with plenty of room to grow. I highly recommend this car seat. ... show more

As soon as I learned I was pregnant with my 2nd child. I had researched the best car seat and the very first one the popped up was this car seat. I read more into its specifications and see if this is exactly what I am looking for. It has a lot of safety and very easy features that I really love. My son is only a month old, and he fits perfectly. This comes with a newborn insert, so if you choose to buy a convertible car seat from day one, then this is perfect. It has a cover on the bottom buckle so you don't accidentally clip your child's thigh. It has a steel frame for added safety on its structure. It is very easy to install. It has "LockSure and SuperCinch" that only Chicco car seats have. These feature helps you easily install and secure and tighten the car seat. There are so many thing I can say about this car seat but there are only 2 things I don't like. It is pretty heavy and bulky. It is not something you'll be able to get in and out of the car easily. Overall, this car seat is great. If God blesses us with more children. I would definitely buy this brand and this line. ... show more

This car seat is the best car seat purchase we've ever made for our infant. We have 5 children and frequently drive across the country for various reasons. The Chicco NextFix iX is the most versatile, comfortable, and yet COMPACT seat we've purchased in the past 10 years. It fits in spaces that previous seats would not. This seat is easy to install and adjust. Baby doesn't complain and seems to fall asleep just fine. Lots of padding and good positioning. My only complaint, and maybe it's because our son is very tall for 14 months, is that in the rear facing setup his feet get scrunched up against the seat. He has to sit/sleep bowlegged. We've been very happy with all Chicco products we've purchased and have found them to be very durable. ... show more

    • So over the tangled straps...but it's very comfortable for my son
For as much as we paid for this thing, I think they can come up with a way for the dang straps to not get tangled! My Graco never gets tangled. This thing...every freaking time. Anyway...it's muuuuch more comfortable for my son. I had a long commute for a while, which prompted us to buy this in the first place. It saved a lot of headache from him whining because he wasn't comfortable. It seems very well made. It's kind of a pain to install and get around, but then all car seats seem to be. I haven't had to wash it yet, so I can't say how well it holds up. I would imagine it would hold up well though, it looks like it would. ... show more

Rated highest in safety according to consumer reports at the time of my purchase. Have had this for two years now for my son who is now two and a half. Used it rear facing for most of the time so far but recently switched to forward facing. Love this car seat and how easy it is to install that we ordered a second one for my daughter when she out grew her infant carrier car seat. These are bigger but I was okay with that because I was looking for safety. Used two of these in a small sedan, in my husband’s truck, and now currently in an SUV. Lots of room still in the larger vehicles of course but for a year they were in the smaller car and still fit great. Very pleased. Easy to wash. Also love the color of this one. The other one we have is gray and it shows stains more even after washing. This one looks almost new after each wash. My son hated his infant carrier but has always liked this one.
