This was a PERFECT gift for a 4th grade boy who has gotten into crocheting, but likes the more gender-neutral/boy themes. It was reasonably priced, and came really well pagkaged- making it look even nicer then the pricing! A big win for anyone that is into crochet, and better yet Harry Potter!

I bought this kit as a gift for a coworker who loves both Harry Potter and crocheting, and it was a massive hit! The concept and packaging are brilliant—it truly nails the theme and makes for a very thoughtful, unique present. My only slight note is on the materials: the yarn quality is a little basic, which is why I took off one star. However, for a beginner’s kit or a fun novelty project, I'm sure it's perfectly adequate and easy to work with. It's a fantastic idea and a great value overall. Highly recommend it for any Potterhead looking to try a new craft!

This MIGHT'VE been a great kit if there was enough yarn to make Harry. As my photo shows, there's not enough dark grey to complete his trousers! I got 3 black safety eyes and one green (and I couldn't get the backs on them to save my life!), and some of the instructions are unclear. There are photos in the book for some things, but not for the difficult to understand parts. It says "Work a '3dc bob' in each of next 4 stitches..." but it doesn't give any instructions in the front of the book on what that means or how to do it. The yarn is in different weights, ranging in a slender, fingering weight, to a worsted weight, and the light and medium grey colors are almost identical, but none of them are labeled. On the other hand, the hook seems to be of good quality, it isn't 'sticky' and doesn't drag. The needle and embroidery thread are good. It says you should have a stitch marker, but there isn't one provided. All in all, I'd give it 3 stars out of 5 and say it's 100% NOT for beginners! You should be at least intermediate or advanced intermediate! And make sure you know how to make your own eyes. lol

I loved this i got it for a friend and she enjoyed doing them she even had me do dobby and ive never done any of that but i made him look so good though i had no idea how to use the instructions 😂 i had to look up a video but for advanced people its great!
