It does a wonder job of blocking out surrounding noise with little reverb. It’s a little on the bassy side, but it has a high pass filter switch to cut back on the bass. It’s better for very small enclosed spaces than the 416. It’s super sensitive so you need to be at least 18 inches away and slightly off axis. ... show more

Listen, if you're considering getting this mic then A: you've done your research and B: you're aware of the price. I wanted a mic that I could keep out out of reach and provide excellent quality and this obviously delivered well beyond my already high expectations. Placement is still super important so although I had planned on setting this up to my side I ended up installing it directly in front of me (above my monitor). Also it's ~really~ sensitive at its max setting so make sure to do tests ahead of time so it's not picking up mouth sounds and stuff. ... show more

Yeah this mic slaps bois. Crisp, clean, solid as a rock. Buy it and you'll never need another mic. I rock it right above my monitor about 12" away from my face. I wanted the quality of a Shure sm7b but without having the mic jammed into my throat while I game/talk with the buds on discord. This is the solution. ... show more
