I don't normally leave reviews, but I have to give a shout out to this pizza oven. Make almost any type of pizza. Easy to clean and makes perfect pies. There's a learning curve to understand how to make pizza dough from scratch, but I found excellent frozen pizza doughballs that work just as well with little effort. If you like pizza, you will use this weekly and it makes amazing pizza. Lodge makes the perfect size pan and Detroit style cast iron skillet for this oven so that is a must have too. If your into thin crust, Neapolitan, or NY style there is no drop in quality or tastiness, its all in the ingredients and getting the dual element setting correct. The only thing to note is it takes 20 mins to preheat the oven, but you need to get the stone up to 800 degrees so that is justified. I verified this temp with a thermo gun. It also make your house smell like a pizzeria for a few hours...but who doesn't like that? If your thing is paying double and messing with propane and wood chips for an outdoor oven then this is not for you...been there done that. This is our favorite kitchen appliance just below the sous vide, but the learning curve on this is a bit higher. Only makes 12 inch pizzas, but you can crank them out every 4-5 minutes for a pizza party. ... show more

    • Don't Give up on this Pizza Oven !

Before I made my first pizza with this oven, I went to utube and found a reveiw by "some dads cook", where the guy made 4 styles of pizza. My favorite style is New York, so I was most interested in that. With that style, the oven was put on automatic and the results turned out great. My results were a bit different; not quite done on top, and a little more done on the bottom, so I put the oven on manual and reduced the bottom temp 50 degrees and increased the top by 50 degrees. I also turned the pizza at about 3 minutes. Then I sat and watched the pizza cook, and when it looked right on top, I pulled it out. Results were outstanding. I'm used to making NY style pizza in my kitchen oven on a baking steel, and the Chefman results were just as good. And that's without an hour of heating to get the kitchen oven to 525 degrees. I also made the thin crust pizza and the Neapolitan. I was surprised at how good the thin crust version was. The Neapolitan was good, but I've had better. Some comments have been made about the negatives of the Chefman. For example the fan is noisy, the audio alert isn't loud enough, the door doesn't completely close, allowing steam to escape while cooling and the oven is a "fire hazard." I agree the fan is noisy, but no more than my kitchen oven, and yes the alarm is too quiet. The door in my opinion isn't a problem. The low vol. alarm could be a problem since the oven continues to cook, but I've found in my experience, it's good to just pull up a chair and watch the pizza bake, then take it out when it's done. Relying on hearing the alarm sound can definitely lead to smoke. ... show more

After about a week of daily use, I have to say that I'm mostly satisfied with this pizza oven. Pizza is baked evenly and quickly, the temperature settings are accurate enough in my opinion. My concerns are mostly related to the QC and longevity of this oven. The oven is wobbly and the feet don't seem to be adjustable. Not sure if this is per design or not, but the oven door doesn't seal well. I always get steam coming out and occasionally a lot of steam comes out from the bottom and the top of the door which can create a lot of condensation on the control panel. The only other (minor) complaint is the fan noise. It's very loud and even after baking, it will run for about 20 min to cool the oven. If you keep the oven door closed it will run even longer. Cleaning is not easy. I take it outside and use compressed air to blow the crumbs out. I wipe accessible inside surfaces with a wet napkin. Good oven overall. Maybe I expected a bit more quality for the price. ... show more

This is the BEST pizza oven out there! It looks real nice and has easy to use presets. Unlike other pizza ovens from other companies, it's not huge and actually fits on your counter top. The pizza comes out so crispy and delicous. AND it comes in the cutest pizza box (has cute stickers inside as well). Pizza has become my families favorite dinner. 🍕🍕🍕 ... show more

We have used it multiple times to make pizza and have been absolutely thrilled with the results. The crust is crispy, and the cheese always melts perfectly. This has got to be the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. Highly over rated! First of all the directions don't tell all, and they contradict the cooking process. The displays are difficult to dial in, and not easy to use for sure. One thing you can be sure of is that you can count on tossing your first three or four pizzas, and maybe more, because they will not cook properly. I truly thought this would be a slam dunk when I read the description and purchased.... but it is so much easier and more efficient to just set the temperature, wait for the oven to pre heat, and put your home made or frozen pizza in a conventional oven. It's a slam dunk! This oven is as expensive as a regular oven and really not worth it. The manufacturer makes it sound so simple to use. This is just not the facts. Too many settings that are difficult to adjust. In my over forty plus years of making pizzas, I have never been so frustrated on even one. Do yourself a favor, save your money, and just stick with your oven that you have more oven space, flexibility and better control of temperatures to work with. Bottom line is the oven is too small of a footprint and the controls are like learning to fly a rocket ship. I even purchased a cover for this item. I am very saddened with the entire purchase.
