The kayak arrived only partially wrapped with plastic wrap. Looked like the kayak had been dropped a good distance and landed on the front tip with a pretty good "dent" in the plastic. It was missing 3 of the plugs that go in the bottom of the kayak and one of the covers for one of the rod holders had been ripped off. The kayak had either been stored outside or was wet when the little bit of plastic wrap was put on because several of the screws that hold pieces together were rusted. What was exposed was covered in dust/dirt. Had the kayak been properly protected during storage/shipping, I think the kayak would have been a good device. I tried contacting the manufacturer for a week but got no response. If the manufacturer had responded and sent me the missing/broken parts I would have kept it.

I bought this and didn't know what to expect. In short, I like everything about it. Pros: It is high quality and will not fall apart. Its size - I'm 6'5" and my gf is tall too. There's plenty of room for us and storage space too. It looks great (we get compliments a lot) It performs well on the water It's light. We carry it two blocks to our neighborhood lake to use it. The pump it comes with actually works great. Cons: Sometimes it's hard to maintain straight. People who break the law.

I absolutely love this kayak. It is durable, strong, and easy to handle. I am able to inflate it in less than ten minutes. It handles very well, and the seats are adjustable for a tall person. I had not issues with waves from motor boats and always felt safe. I gave this a four star instead of five for the following reasons: 1. Tow rope and glue for the repair kit are not included, despite the manual and description. This recently changed. 2. There are no cup holders or pockets. (So only have a bottle vs. a can. I used Velcro to attach a clear plastic cosmetic bag (for $1 fro walmart) to back of the seat to hold wallets, phone, etc.) 3. You sit low, so get a cushion to raise you up a little (if you are short) 4. The placement of the rod holders can get in the way of rowing (align your seats accordingly) 5. The floor air valve is like a strong beach ball valve. It “is” very sturdy and tight, however, so much so, the tab broke. the company is replacing the valve. 6. It might be a good idea to get one longer oar for the back for ease. WIth the narrowing of the boat in the front, the oar is fine. 7. Good luck getting the boat back in the bag....but still rolls up enough to transport in the car. Even though I have these items listed, it is more for your awareness and consideration to prepare for. I still love this boat and highly recommend, especially if you want to feel safe on the lake. I would be comfortable enough to take this out by myself and look forward to using it all summer long!!!! The cormorant inflated easier than I expected! First time set up took me less than 10 minutes and I’m sure next time I’ll be even quicker. It’s durable and incredibly stable. So far I am very pleased. I did a lot of research on inflatable fishing kayaks and decided to fork the extra buck for this one. Definitely worth it. Have use it twice so far both times on smaller ponds no issues!
