This may sound silly but when I bought this I thought the temperature selection pictures stayed on. After my husband plugged it in he had pics just during the toasting. I came along and thought it was the wrong toaster. All the pretty lights and pictures in the ad were gone and I had a blank slab of black plastic! Didn't look nice like a "smart" toaster or phone. I made okay toast the first time, but the looks of the toaster in the ad is very, very misleading unless you like a plain black toaster for $60. So far I see nothing special in the looks or the operation of it but just started using it. Even the little booklet included shows the pictures on the toaster when they are not. So don't expect a unique digital picture of your toast options for more than a second or two. Silly I know, but for $60 I did want digital pictures like on a phone.

I bought this basic toaster, the non-digital model, based upon the high number of positive reviews and the bagel setting. Upon unboxing i was dismayed by how light and cheap it felt which is the only reason i docked a star from the rating. It's stainless steel somewhere so it should be heavy, at least thats how my brain works. I have used it for more than a month now and i must say its a good unit. A little odd to have to push the lever down to start toasting and then press the bagel button but as long as you have the sliced side facing out it is toasted to perfection. The cancel button stops toasting and pops up the bread. I would have prefered access to the bread crumb tray be in the front because of how i have it on my countertop, but i am not that lazy so it works as is.

Think I’ve had this for about 7 months now. Looks good and works very well. My only negative is it almost always looks dirty from the top view. There is a recessed lip around the top of the toaster that catches every toast crumb and it’s difficult to clean out without having to use some sort of brush. Don’t know the lip is even there. See pic. Otherwise I like the look and function.

This is my favorite toaster I have ever owned. It looks so expensive and works great. I would definitely recommend this toaster as a gift for anyone needing one. It is perfect in everyday. Highly recommend it. If mine breaks I will buy another.

I've tried several name brand toasters that don't toast my whole grain bread dark enough. The others had to go through 2 rounds at max setting. Now I only set it at 5 out of 7 for whole grain, and 2 or 3 for white. This one has the horsepower to do what you want! It's compact to boot!

This is a well-made, nice looking, and easy to use toaster. It does perfect bagels, excellent half slices of sour dough, and you have a nice selection of light to dark toasting. It pops up enough to remove the slices but doesn't throw the toasted slices out as though launched from Cape Canaveral. The cord is not too short as in most toasters, and even in the darkest 4:00 AM kitchen - you can see the blue light of the controls. It doesn't radiate searing heat from the outside - which means you can put your cup of coffee right next to it without burning your hand. Good quality for your money. It looks like it should cost a lot more.

This toaster looks nice and I love the bagel button. It toasts bagel on the inside and leaves it warm on the outside, so it doesn’t burn. I also like the digital countdown feature that lets you know how long before your toast is ready. What I would change is to add a .5 in between each number setting for toasting. For example, setting the toaster at #2 is not enough for me for regular toast. I would like to be able to set it between 2 and 3 because 3 is too high for my preference.

It looks and works great! It seems durable also. One minor negative is that it's top is a crumb catcher and takes a little effort to clean. But that's just a small complaint, I'd still buy the same model again in a heartbeat.
