  • Advanced Features at a Competitive Price
The Chefiq pressure cooker is a feature-rich appliance that offers excellent value for its price. Below, I've highlighted the pros and cons based on my experience. Pros: - Competitive price: At under $130, it competes favorably with other brands like InstantPot and Ninja Foodi. - Integrated scale: This handy feature is a great addition, although the longevity of the sensors in the feet is yet to be seen. It seems to me one should be careful of not banging the appliance or letting it fall too hard while moving it. - Internet connectivity and app integration: The ability to receive firmware updates (like the sous vide addition) and to follow recipes easily via the app is fantastic. I have gotten many new ideas while browsing the recipes. People also rate them and that's quite helpful. - Automatic pressure release programs: This unique feature allows for hands-free quick release or pulse release, a first in my experience with pressure cookers. Cons: - Pot material: The non-stick coating is convenient but may not be as durable as stainless steel. I hope the manufacturer offers a stainless steel pot option soon. - Initial setup: Despite the manufacturer's efforts, setting up the app and connectivity can be a bit complex. In sum, I'd say give it a try and see if it works for you. Despite a few minor drawbacks, its unique features and convenience make it a great choice for anyone looking to explore new recipes and enhance their cooking experience. ... show more

  • Super convenient & user friendly
This thing does it all! My favorite feature (that I didn’t know I needed) is that you can cook pasta in it. At high altitude it helps get pasta to that perfect Al Dente. Additionally, the screen is a lot more aesthetically pleasing than individual buttons. Plus it turns into a cute flower scene when left alone! So I don’t mind keeping it on my countertop. ... show more

  • Really love this multi cooker!
I was a person who got an Instant Pot, thought it was fine and used it now and then, but didn't fall crazy in love with it (as some people do). But now I'm feeling that love for ChefiQ. So if you are looking for a multi cooker, I thought I would mention why ChefiQ did it for me. First, as a machine it has been easy to use/clean, well-executed, and solid. That's the "floor" of performance you should expect at this price point and they hit it in a sleek way. I've had it for a couple of months and seen no problems in that (albeit short) period of time. I would hope that the other higher end multi cookers also hit that floor. What I especially liked about ChefiQ were these elements: 1) the auto release; 2) the app & guided cooking; 3) the presets by weight. The first part might seem simple, but it was huge for me. The cooker auto releases pressure through natural, total or pulse methods with keep warm on or off. So, once you set it to release after a set period of time, it just does it. So there's no hovering around the machine to get the timing right on that. Truly, set it and forget it. The cooker connects to an app that provides a great set of recipes and guidance for guided cooking. (It is not necessary to use the app -- everything can also be done manually through a nicely designed interface.) New recipes are added weekly, though there's a lot in there already and they are pretty good. The app connects to the machine and leads you and the machine through making the recipe, including telling the machine to auto release or whatever. The app also helps you game yourself to do better. For example, if the recipe says to sear the pork chop for 3 minutes...it will also help you time 3 minutes so that you don't say "feels that 3 minutes" when in truth it has only been 1.5 minutes and you're feeling antsy. And then finally, the machine has a zillion presents for all kinds of meat, rice, vegetables, etch that can work by weight as well as other means. So if you want to put in long grain rice, poor it in, have the machine judge the weight and then set itself for the number of minutes automatically, it can. I think these are all features that will just get better and better through firmware updates over time. So if you are buying a new multi cooker or are interested in upgrading, I would strongly recommend considering this machine. ... show more

  • Just simply amazing
Alright, so I’m a self proclaimed nerd and when our breville slow cooker died, which we really liked, we tried out the instapot deluxe or whatever their high end model is because it had all the bells and whistles. My wife hated it. It didn’t slow cook like we liked and the pressure cooker features were just finicky. Well I decided to see if there was any new and innovative alternatives. Did some google searching and found this smart cooker. The interface looked amazing and I liked how there was quality interaction with the phone app. It was also 1/3rd the cost of the breville that I was about to order. It arrives and the wife gives me this stink eye because she is NOT technical. We followed the directions to set it up and installed the app. My wife started looking through the built in recipes, decided on a chocolate lava cake of some sort and went to work. I swear it was like Christmas in July for her. She absolutely loved it. The food came out perfect and everything just worked. The app was easy to follow along and the demonstration videos are just amazing. You can tell the attention to detail and the amount of effort that was put in. Since then, my wife has used this at least twice a week for the past 6 months. It has never failed us except once on some potatoes but I think that was because they were too big and differed from the recipe, so that’s probably on us. She says she will be buried with this cooker. I’m about to buy some spares cause she said that if thing breaks she will have a breakdown. ... show more
