The CHEF IQ Sense is a breath of fresh air! Excellent and very user friendly. I've already used it twice since I bought it and absolutely no issues (so far). I had a Meater Block for about 4 years, and maybe it was an early model (to give this company the benefit of the doubt), but it was very glitchy and not user friendly. Difficult to stay connected to the block. Also, one of the probes stopped working (seriously, how does a probe stop working unless I drop it or break it in half manually). For my money, I'd go with the CHEF IQ Sense every time! Thank you for an excellent product.

This is a great product! I got this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He is very particular about the temperature of his meats. I do want to preface this by saying the first unit we received, there was one probe that would not stay connected to Bluetooth. My husband waited a few days after Christmas to reach out to Chef iQ’s customer service, because he figured they would get a lot of calls right after the holiday. He eventually received a case number, but to this day still has not heard from Chef iQ. So I reached out to Amazon. Since it was within the return period, they sent me a new unit while I returned the defective one. So, kudos to Amazon customer service! As for the new unit, all probes work and my husband cooked steaks to perfection using the probes. Different levels of temperature (I like mine medium plus, he likes his medium rare) and both were perfect! The unit tells you when to flip the meat and when to remove it to rest. I cannot put it any simpler than, "this is a game changer" At first I was wary of the price point but I can assure you, the first time I cooked a perfect steak at rare for myself, I smiled in delight! Too often my wife and I overcook steak when we both like them rare. With this setup the probe not only tells you when the steak is approaching its ideal temperature, it tells you exactly when to take the meat off of the grill to rest. As you may know, meat continues to cook even when removed from the heat source and the CHEF IQ Sense gets it right everytime. This actually makes me look like I know what I am doing! The Wireless connectivity works very well and when your thermometers and the base are connected to your wifi you can feel free to roam. No longer do you have to babysit what you are smoking, as long as you are connected you can continue to view the temperatures on your smartphone through the very easy to use CHEF iQ Sense App. The thermometer probes are made with the highest quality and seem durable enough to last a very long time. Over all, this has made smoking meat, preparing steaks and anything on the grill so much easier. I have smoked venison, turkey breast, whole turkey, boston butt, beef roasts and grilled steaks, burgers, and chicken and the CHEF iQ Sense has guided me to the perfect result every time.

My son ordered this thermometer on Amazon as a used product. It arrived on time. When he paired it to his phone the number three probe would not connect. He contacted Cheft iQ and after some back and forth phone calls and e mails he received a new probe. The new probe connected without issue. He has used the thermometer on chicked thighs on a smoker. He was impressed with how the thermometer functioned and features it had. Especially giving him a lot of information on his phone. He does want to used a probe type thermometer just to verify the temperature reading is accurate. He has no reason at this time to think it's not accurate. The thermometer proves are stored in a charging base when not in use or are being charged. The probes do charge quickly. We can't speak on how long a charge lasts as the chicken only took about an hour to cook. I deducted a star due to the non functioning probe when the unit arrived. My son decided to contact Chef iQ for a replacement probe. I would have sent the unit back and purchased a new unit. I wasn't involved in the process of having the faulty probe replaced but I did see what my son went through. I was not impressed with customer service. The replacement probe came in a box with a plastic lid. The lid had something written on it to the effect of "Your replacement probe has arrived ". The wording was from a manufacturer not hand written. That tells me Chef iQ has enough problems with bad probes that they purchase boxes just for shipping of new probes. Other than the probe issue the thermometer overall is a nice unit. My son has only used it once and has not tapped into all the features it has to offer. We would purchase again, but if the new unit had a bad probe I would return it and repurchase.

Do not microwave nor pressure cook. Dishwasher safe in stop rack only. Handles frying, deep fat frying, baking, broiling, grilling, smoking, etc. Base hub charges. Max runtime unplugged: 20 hours. Thermometer charges. Max run time not charging: 70 hours. The base hub connects to the thermometer via Bluetooth. The base hub connects to your Wifi and to the Chef iQ cloud. Keep the hub near the thermometer. You go roaming. This gives you infinite range. Finally, I can make the perfect meat while working from home but on a different floor! I set my Android phone to speak to me, with my own voice recording, "meat temperature reached", whenever a notification from the Chef iQ app comes in. I made perfect pork chops last night. Not dry! I set the warning temp to 145F to get the perfect 150F peak.
