doesn't really heat up the area, not very bright. Isn't gonna light up an area. It's cool, clean burning , takes some work to keep it clean. couple of uses and its pretty dirty, the glass tube anyway. easy to put together , once its going It doesn't smoke.

We absolutely love this thing and get LOTS of compliments from friends. I will say if you’re looking for a patio heater this is NOT your best option. The heat it puts out is minimal and you have to be up pretty close to feel it. However if you’re looking for something to make your patio look amazing and stand out, this is the one. When we have evening pool parties and this guy gets fired up, it’s the topic of conversation and point of interest. People stand around it and talk and everyone enjoys the ambiance. Aside from the beer fridge, it’s one of the most popular patio items. It was easy to assemble and really easy to light and use. We just squirt a tiny bit of charcoal lighter fluid in the bottom and it lights super easily. Just make certain you keep the protective cardboard sleeve the glass tube is shipped in for storage. When we’re done using it I always put the glass tube back in it’s sleeve and store it safely in the garage, I think one surprise wind storm and it would be gone, it some easy precautionary storage habits and it’s been fine. We bought one last year and it’s starting its 2nd season with us and have had no issues. I would totally recommend this to anyone interested and would buy again if needed.

Easy to assemble, worked, and decent heat output; however, burns rapidly through the pellets, lasting under 90 minutes. Great as secondary heat source and for ambiance; I deployed it along with m y traditional wood burning pit as my guests and our gathered gor several hours.

This is a very nice wood pellet fire pit for outside. I ordered the small and love it. I have read some reviews about it smoking and not working. Before I add any pellets, I use a stainless steel strainer and strain out the small dust particles. I do this for my wood pellet grill as well. This helps with the airflow as you get further along with your burn. So keep the small particles out of your pellets and this thing works like a champ.
