I bought this twice. The first went back because it would not connect. The replacement did the same thing but I decided to give it the extra mile this time. First I determined my WIFI was weak - even next to my Comcast modem where the WIFI comes from. I purchased a WIFI access point which then provided much better WIFI. This works just as advertised and much cheaper than a $50 subscription that includes an app that doesn't work. I can even set the instruction for it to make sure the garage door is closed by a certain time. Will come in handy because I have a habit of forgetting the door is left open. And all for free. Plus, when I decide I don't want it anymore, I can sell it to someone else. Unlike the security companies who won't let you get used equipment, even if it's their own brand to install, and so they cause a lot of waste to the environment. ... show more

I am really bad at making sure my garage door is closed. I’ve left it open many times without incident until recently someone went in and helped themselves to all my power tools. This was my wake up call so I decided to get this unit. The set up was quick and super easy. The first one I bought would not link between the door module and the hub. I sent that one back, and ordered a second one. This one works perfectly. I can look on my phone app, (iPhone), and see the current door position. If the door is opened or closed locally, the app alerts me. I can also open or close the door with the app. ... show more
