    • Quiet and Easy to Install even when using exiting wiring
I combined it with my myQ app to allow integration with Google and Vivint, works very well. Setup was seamless. The only issue is that the instructions are not as clear regarding level or installation corrections for width. Expect 9 3/4 inch width (Harry Potter, anyone?) mounting. If reusing the old brackets, verify level installation, as the old system may have a different clearance gap from the door. The unlevel operation does not affect operation but makes the installation a not-so-clean look. The biggest thing they missed is that two flashes do not mean your wiring is bad despite what Google or Chamberlain help will lead you to believe. In the initial setup, two flashes mean you must set the stopping points before operating. If you do not, two main light flashes will lead you down a rabbit hole unless you check the button flashes. Consult your manual for the button flash definitions, but if I remember correctly, you will see 4 up and 6 down to indicate door stops are not set. Have fun!! ... show more

Very easy to install and the belt drive is much quieter than a chain drive opener.

Seems well made and works as intended, the installation app was easy to follow. The app to control the garage door is easy to use and probably my favorite feature.

The installation was tough. It too me about 16 hours to get it installed in a new garage, nothing like the half hour mentioned by some reviewers. I got it installed once, but the bar was bent severely. Turned out to be the belt was too tight on one side and not tight enough on the other. I had to unscrew the protective cap and remove it, as well as loosening the belt to move it over one groove to get it to work. It's slightly bent now, but works like a charm. The only other problem I had was one of the handheld remote openers will not work. It seems to pop the battery out, breaking the circuit. I've tried fixing with no luck. I'd like to see if the manufacturer will replace? ... show more

    • Very quiet and was easy to install
This was the second Chamberlain opener I have bought and installed. Funny that neither of the ones I replaced had actually failed, they were just so loud as to be unbearable. Since I had replaced a very loud screw drive one at my previous house, when my current one had gotten too loud, I was confident in replacing it with another Chamberlain. I am completely satisfied again! Two things on installation. The belt gear cover was different than in the manual. The one in the manual had three screw holes and the screws were part of the inventory. This one only has two holes and the screws are installed on the opener itself so you won't find them in the parts... I had a heck of a time trying to follow the instructions to release the tentioner spring. I finally just tightened it up the quarter turn they want you to take while releasing the spring. Then I held the silver spring plate washer with plyers and rotated the shaft. Takes all of 10 seconds to do and I had wasted 30 minutes trying to do it as instructed. ... show more

I had to call the garage door repairman to find out that I have to replace the mainboard to make the brand new garage door opener work correctly (Chamberlain). I was having trouble with the 7 year old opener (Liftmaster). I have used the Liftmster for almost 30 years and replaced once for 1 car and twice for 2 car garage. I was quite disappinted about this new Chamberain opener. I hope other people would not go through what I went though ... show more

    • Super quiet & smooth!
My last opener was a Chamberlain & I was very happy with it for 30 years, so when it came time for a replacement I went with another Chamberlain & I should be good for another 30 years! The install was very simple when you use the (included) video, the paper instructions are a bit confusing. (the first one was still working but the sending unit died & none of the remotes worked) ... show more
