Let me tell you, I get my hair professionally cut lifted and colored quarterly. Always a vibrant red. Now we all know how fast reds fade, Viral is the BEST solution to maintain your vibrant reds! It has become a joke to my husband that almost every time we go out someone compliments my hair and I have to tell them about the viral color shampoo. He said I should be a spokes person for them. It’s extremely easy to do , but it will stain your shower or grout. My solution to that is to keep a bottle of half bleach, half water and spray it down immediately after coloring in the shower. Boom problem solved. I typically wet my hair and keep a hair clip in the shower. I use about a half dollar size massage into my hair until it gets foamy pile on top of my head and clip, leave in while you shower and then rinse out and use color safe conditioner. I usually do it once or twice a week and my color is easily maintained and bright. Trust me, I recommend this to so many people because I get asked ALL THE TIME about my hair, click add to cart you won’t regret it!!!! DO IT! Buy it!! My hair is naturally dark and I have some gray/silver. It's bleached on top and natural on bottom. I keep it short. Also, my hair is baby fine/soft to start with. Bleaching it multiple times has made it a very tiny bit more coarse but it's overall still super soft and so I don't want to speak about if the shampoo makes my hair soft simply because my hair is already soft. I bought and have used both the lavender and the hot pink. The lavender is very light. Several washes with the lavender in a row, leaving it on in the shower for 10 minutes or more results in maybe a light colored to medium purple at the most. Now, the lavender washes out very quickly. Like, after using it for a week straight, all I'd have to do is wash my hair 2 or 3 times with regular shampoo (that's 2 or 3 times in the same shower, not over 2 or 3 days) and it would be pretty much all gone. And that's fine. Because that's what I bought these shampoos for. Now, the hot pink...that's a different story. One wash with hot pink and I got...a very bright, very much hot pink color. Again, that's fine. It's just what I was going for. I washed with the pink 3 or 4 days in a row to see just how dark it would get and it got very, very hot pink. Awesome! But...I have not used the color shampoo in 3 weeks and my hair is still pink. It's not washing out like the lavender did. It's not as intense a color as it was but it's definitely still very pink. Now, I don't care. But if you're looking for a pink color for a day or 2 that will wash out after a couple washes...this isn't it. I wash my hair twice every day. This color isn't coming out. It's gone from shocking, hot pink to just a pink color. Again, I don't care. I like it. But oh boy, this isn't coming out near as fast as the lavender. Now, I also bought the darker purple color but I haven't tried it yet. I'm thinking I'm going to wash with that while the pink is still in and see what it gets me but I'm over due to get it bleached and trimmed again so I'll wait until after that. It's a great color, either way. The bright, BRIGHT/intense pink was great and so is the current, faded pink. The lavender was nice too. I'm enjoying the different colors and intend to buy a couple more. There is a chemical smell but it's not near as bad as the bleach or like, normal at home hair dye. I have a severally reactive airway and asthma and it doesn't bother me. The shampoo doesn't stain the shower walls. We have Carrara marble tiles and they aren't stained. The pink does stain my hands a little when I put it on but it washes off. There is no staining at all with the lavender. ... show more

I had my hair professionally dyed in early October (see photo on left). By early November, the teal was pretty faded and I was getting bleechy whisps near my roots. Purchased the Vivid Purple and used the shampoo only (with my normal conditioning mask)... The result was the photo on the right. I was amazed a shampoo alone could do that! After reading other reviews, I did go back and use the shampoo straight on my dry hair like a hair dye (letting sit a good 15 mins) because I was hoping to get the formerly teal section even more purple. I used gloves and rinsed my sink after, so no staining there. No staining on clothes or pillow cases either. Now it's been a few days and the color, after just a single shower, seems a little less intense on the formerly teal section (my hair now looks brown with a hint of purplely/red?). I don't really love the idea of using this with every shower so the long-term verdict is still out for me. But I was initially very pleased and much prefer my current look to the bleeched faded teal I was dealing with. Until I find something better... Update, another month later. It's December. I've been shampooing with this product 2x per week and using like hair dye about 1x per week (sometimes less). Updated photo is solo photo. Looks great, feels great! Love it! ... show more

I bought the hot pink color to keep my already pink hair vibrant. It definitely works!! Every-time I use this shampoo people always ask if I’ve dyed my hair again. Though, this shampoo is meant for color depositing and not moisturizing or anti-frizz so it really just colors your hair. If you are looking for something that moisturizes or restores your hair, I’d look for something else. Another thing to look out for is that the pink DEFINTELY STAINS!! It stays on my hands for at least a day after I use it, and I have to be careful in the shower as well bcus it will stain my shower walls. I don’t mind it, but some people might! ... show more

Thank you so much to whoever invented this. I never get my hair done professionally I always used the same coconut box dye to keep my hair icey/brassy vibrant blonde my entire life. I went & got professional extensions and they were brassier than I liked & didn’t 100% match my icey blonde and the girl toned my hair and it was STRAIGHT UP GREY. I know it’s in style these days but I was horrified. I felt old n dull. I found this, I put it in dry, washed it out, lathered it good and left it in a few minutes, rinsed & did it once more and followed with a deep conditioner cause some of the reviews said it leaves your hair dry. AND OMFG!! My hair is back to my perfect brassy platinum. I’m so in love & so greatful. Thank you so much for making this a thing 😭❤️😭 ... show more
