I've been using this fountain for my cat for two years now. It's been working great, no issues with the pump. I change the filters and wash the fountain about every three weeks. My cat drinks from it and seems to be well hydrated. But he also drinks from our water glasses, the dogs water bowl, and any place else he can access, so I can't vouch for this being the main source of his water.

I've had a Drinkwell fountain for my kitties for years and even though its still working, I wanted to try something different and less complicated. The Drinkwell has so many pieces and takes quite a while to clean not to mention the calcium buildup from over the years that can't be good for my kitties no matter how much I scrape and clean it. I enjoy the simplicity in the design of this water fountain and its relatively small size. It came with everything I needed to get it up and running and it was a pleasant surprise to see that the included USB cable also had a USB plug in the box. I simply had to soak the included water filter for 5 minutes, rinse out the the bowl and add water and after plugging it in, it was dispersing water quietly and efficiently. I must be honest that my scaredy cats were hesitant to use it at first being new and much smaller. Less than 24-hours later I watched them drinking from it and all is good. Pluses: The design should mean that it will NEVER overflow like my Drinkwell and I like that it will be easy to clean. Negatives: None so far. In fact, I've already purchased some replacement filters and they were very inexpensive. :)

The fountain works well and my pets really like it. The problem is the LED light doesn’t work and I’ve tried 2 different fountains. It makes it hard to see when I need to add water.

I’ve tried a few others from Amazon but this one is the best. The fountain is quiet, great size and super easy to clean. I typically rinse it out and refill it about once a week just for cleanliness but it’s not required. I’d say if you don’t want to do it weekly every other week is good. I change the filters every 3-4 weeks. I have 3 cats and they all use it so I think mine just gets dirtier because of that. Fells super high quality and has no leakage or issues at all. Others I’ve tried barely made it a month or so before they started to crap out on me. But not this one.

The fountain is great for two small dogs. They prefer the fountain over a water bowl. The fountain is stainless steel which is great for making it easy to clean. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble for weekly cleanings. My fountain did not come with a little to clean out the pump like others but I found having one is crucial for getting in the crevices to keep the pump functioning. Unfortunately, after a little over of 6 months of use, the pump stopped working consistently. I replace the two filters weekly but that did not extend the life of the device. The water sometimes flows and completely stops at others.

I bought this fountain to encourage my cat with kidney disease to drink more water. It works for that purpose so I'm happy with it. The fountain is not messy at all and looks well made. The LED is very dim and it's hard to see the water level thru the little window. If you buy it for these features you may be disappointed. Also I don't feel that it filters very well. I checked the water after three days and it was cloudy. Maybe it's because we have a well so there's no chlorine in the water. I change the water every two days and give it a quick scrub. That keeps the water clean and my cat happy, but it's a lot of work. Overall, I would recommend this fountain if you want your cat to drink more water.

I had a plastic water fountain for 4 years that was a headache to clean and I also read in many places that a water fountain should only be stainless steel. I absolutely love this fountain for my 2 kitties! I can't think of anything negative to say after having it 2.5 months. I will update if this changes. Maybe that it doesn't make an annoying sound when it's so low that it's not putting out water for them like my old one did, that would be great. So easy to clean, performs well, doesn't leak or overflow or anything. Also sleek and clean looking. I wish that the spouts weren't only just the 2 and had more fountains coming out the top because you have to angle them to point out towards where my kitties come to it but thats so minor. Love it!

I have a cat with thyroid issues so he drinks a lot of water, he Loves this water fountain. It does hold a lot of water The only negative Is that when it's 1⁄4 full it will shut off. This does not get as scummy and dirty as a plastic water filter I had for them in the past. I would recommend if you buy this to buy the corresponding water filters and sponges because those get dirty quick especially if you have multiple cats
