Bought this for our 2 acres after every rain we get a ton of weeds and have been using a Hudson sprayer that requires several remixes to cover all the area, with this backpack sprayer and at 3 gallons it is easier to use and required only about half of the remixes just need to fine tune which sprayer tip works best. I have been extremely pleased with my 3 gal. Backpack sprayer ! I love that it is battery power, and I don’t have to drag it around or continue to pump it up. I did have trouble with my battery (or charger), but customer service was wonderful! I tried some trouble shooting suggestions after my first call but they didn’t resolve my problem. I called back and spoke with Anne . She has a replacement item on the way! It is rare to find a great customer service these days but Petra has it! The only problem I had was locating the number to call them, but otherwise great product and awesome customer service!

I bought the HD3000 back in 2023, and it has worked well for all of my needs. Although I've only used 3 times, it has been enough for my 1 1/2 acres. It's very comfortable to wear, and easy to use with the turn of a knob, that has very consistent pressure. The different wand attachments make it easy to use for different applications, depending on how much area you want to sprayer, and for spot spraying. I would recommend trying out all the attachments with water first, just so you know how much area each one covers. I would also recommend removing the the battery wires if you don't plan on using the sprayer for a month or more, so you don't end up with a bad battery like I did. After trying to charge my sprayer a couple days after last using in September, I noticed after a couple hours that the sprayer wasn't charging/holding a charge. I called the customer support number that was on the sprayer, and was able to talk to Anne. After talking to her, she was able to help with diagnosing the problem. Anne was able to get me another battery and charger shipped free of charge, since I had only used the sprayer 3 times. She made the process very quick and painless, so I'm able to get back to using it within a week.

BIG improvement over the "pump" type sprayer I'd been using... more capacity and NO PUMPING! It has more than enough pressure, and the variety of spray nozzles makes it very versatile. The 3 gallon size is a good compromise of weight vs. capacity, and the variable pressure knob is a nice feature - I found that with the triple spray nozzle, the minimum pressure setting was plenty to get the job done, and it conserved the herbicide mix I was spraying... maximum pressure was overkill, and totally unnecessary. I used the supplied teflon tape for all fittings and had ZERO leaks. No mess at all. The padded straps make this about as comfortable as a backpack holding 3 gallons of liquid can be - that's about 25 lbs, not counting the pack itself... so I'd guess about 30-35 lbs. total. This is not an inexpensive unit, but well worth it if you have a lot of spraying to do (I have a large patch of woods bordering my backyard, and the edge is overrun with poison ivy - about 200-250 foot frontage, and about 10' deep into the woods). This sprayer allows me to spray well into the poison ivy without getting too close, and holds enough herbicide that I don't have to stop every 10 minutes to refill it. My only gripe is that the battery is not easily accessible, in the event that it ever needs to be changed out. Also, once assembled with the wand-holder brackets and hoses attached, it won't go back into its box for storage. When on the storage brackets, the wand is not that easy to reach if you're not flexible... remove the wand from the holder BEFORE putting the full pack on.

After many issues and ordering this model and having it arrive defective, I must sat I am done. The attached picture shows how the item came out of the box. I did call customer support only to reach someone in another country who could not help at all. That person transferred me back what I assume to be a non-published number. Of course no answer. I think this company has a decent product, made in the USA but I am left completely disappointed. :( and still need a sprayer! Related Previous purchased item review: I bought this machine 2 years ago. I used is once to spray the outside of my barn with water based powder stain. It worked great during the first use. Fast forward 6 months or so, I needed to touch up some areas on the outside of the barn however the motor would no longer start. Petra sent me a motor, we replaced it and once again the sprayer worked great. Fast forward another 6 months or so, I now needed to water proof the outside of the barn. The sprayer glad been stored in the original box in our garage. This is when I found the hose going from the holding tank to the motor completely split due to the system design. There is no way for the hose to connect to the tank without a severe kink. And as a result of the kink the hose split wide open. I called cust svc and ordered a replacement hose at my cost. I got the hose, connected it up, all good. Then the weather was warm enough for water proof the barn. I charged the machine, filled the tank with the water based solution and the sprayer won’t work. As I walk over to the water spicket the motor starts working, then it stopped, and started agin so I filled the tank once again. I go to turn the sprayer on, it won’t start. I took it apart and found there was a short right where the inside wiring connects to the exterior charging plug. We were able to recconnect and use electrical tape tape on the connection. I filled the tank again and it stopped working. I called customer service. I am know out of warranty but hope they could provide a solution so I could fix the problem. That is when they started saying I used a solution that was not approved for the sprayer. But this time I explained to Scott the motor and the pump are fine but the wiring would not stay connected. Scott was to call me back. I wanted for three days, he finally called and of course I missed his call. At this point I am so fed up with the sprayer, I ended up trashing the entire system I had barely used and paid close to $400. But wait, there is more, I then when back and purchased a smaller model that had a different design for the hose connection. Took it out of the box last night, let it charge all night, went to spray and discovered the new machine would not hold a charge. I give up! This second sprayer is going back! This sprayer looked like it had been used, the cap keeper was broken right out of the box as seen in the attached photo.
