This cat door stopper has been the answer to our problems! We have 2 large dogs and a cat that are super clingy. When I'm working from home, this allows me to let the cat pass through but not the dogs while keeping the door partly open. I didn't have to modify any existing hardware or the door itself, just add this stopper. I didn't originally think that the peg end would stay in the strike plate, but it is rigid and the tension holds it in place really well and even shaking the door like my dogs might do, it stayed in place. It took me a while to figure out how to use this device but once I got past that I was pleasantly surprised how well it works. It’s much easier than using a wedge door stopper. Everyone, especially my cat, is happy. I purchased more for all the rooms in the house.

This is an easy to install product that does exactly what it says. We have put them on 2 doors, so far, to keep air from the air conditioner out of the rooms we are not using while still allowing the cats access.
