The case is durable enough to carry and protect my FIXD senor unit. The clip on hook makes it easy to hook the case to belts, pants loops, backpacks, key rings & etc... I like the fact that I can have my FIXD ready anytime my check engine light comes on for any number of reasons and I can quickly diagnose the problem.

There’s the cost of the item itself. Then there’s the cost of the app you’ll have to download. Then you’ll have to pay a monthly or yearly fee that is registered to only your car. So if you own 2 cars or more, you’d better count on buying one for each car. The only way this item makes sense to buy is if you have an old clunker that keeps breaking down, in which case you should probably sell. It would probably be cheaper than paying a yearly fee for this device that you may not ever use.

The widget worked as advertised; I plugged it into the OBD port in my Buick, found that I needed to replace a faulty oxygen sensor, and was able to google it and find the correct replacement part at Auto Zone for $45, along with instructions on how to replace the part myself. Saved me the cost of a $300 estimate from the local auto mechanic.
