I tried one of the cheap Android Auto boxes from Ali and it worked kind of OK but the bluetooth was very sketchy and only "usually" connected - sometimes I had to power cycle it a few times and there were times I stood there waiting for 30+ seconds for it to connect before leaving. This one works, well, every time, and the bluetooth connectivity is done better. The cheap units pass the audio through the unit so your helmet is connecting to the unit not your phone. This one connects to the phone for control but not for audio. The helmet still connects to the phone directly for audio. This means you have the same audio connection if you're on a different bike, and there isn't the terrible lag you get with the pass-through type units.

I have yet to install this on my motorcycle as I will need to find a place in the wiring harness to wire it into but I did test it on the workbench with an external power supply and found it was easy to connect my phone to using Android Auto. The screen is large (maybe a little too large for my needs) and bright. It responds well to touch input. The cameras, power cable, and remote connect to the unit using these small waterproof circular connectors that are clearly labeled. These connectors hang from the back of the unit as pig tails. I was happy to find that the unit would function just fine without the cameras connected, there was no error screen that would not let me use the map or adjust settings. I may install this initially without the cameras and use the off season to fully install it when I will have time to nicely route the camera cables. The mounting system is very well made and fully adjustable. The mount will clamp onto just about any size handle bar with the included rubber inserts. The screen pivots on a ball mount that is a metal ball inside of a rubber coating. The mounts are very beefy and well made. My biggest gripe about this product is the manual suggests wiring it directly to the battery but the power cable does not have an inline fuse. I plan to get a fuse block and either find a switched power connection on my bike or use a relay to ensure this item is fully turned off when the bike is off. Overall this is a great way to use the mapping features on your phone without having to risk mounting your phone to the handlebars. I would recommend this product.

This works great! It's amazing have a front and rear view on my bike. Looking at the videos after a ride is a lot of fun and if anything ever happens as far as an accident it will be great to have the footage to prove fault. The remote mounts on your handlebar and is easy to use and very functional. Overall I really love this!

There are number of the usability issues 1. No volume control 2. It turn off music on Phone when activates CarPlay interface 3. It does not turn off music on Phone when turns off motorcycle 4. No mark up and down for cameras. 5. No USB port to charge phone.
