I've been running the Carpuride on my 2021 BMW GSA. I love the unit itself, the screen is nice and bright and having carplay on the motorcycle is a fantastic upgrade. The integration with the BMW Wonder wheel is pretty good. I find it faster to just tap the screen, so keep that in mind when purchasing one of these. I wouldn't say the wonder wheel integration is and absolute necessity. Bluetooth hooks up instantly, haven't had any issues with connections. The fit in the BMW navigation cradle is fantastic. I'm very happy with this product!

I installed this unit on my 2022 BMW R1250GSA. The integration is seamless and flawless! You definitely need to manage your Bluetooth connections so they dont get confused. Absolutley, ditch the connection between your phone and the BMW screen as well as the connection between your helmet comms and the dash screen. These connections do nothing for you now that you have the Carpuride and will only cause problems if you try to use both. Connect your phone to the Carpuride and then your helmet comms to the phone. The phone is the common connection for both devices and it will work flawlessly as such. There is a common issue with using voice commands where it does no respond via the Carpuride/Apple Carplay/Android Auto. This is a flaw that hasn't yet been addressed as far as I know but also isn't something I use while riding anyway.

Love this tablet. Had one mounted on my 2019 KTM 1290 SAS for the last 4 years. Just bought another one for my new BMW 1300 GSA. Far superior to the BMW product IMO. Love having CarPlay on the bike. Screen is very bright and easy to see even in bright sunlight.

Got the 7" version that fits the BMW Motorad. Easy mounting and appreciate the Android Auto. There are a few known bugs like the mic issues not detecting and the auto-dimming night mode not working. Manageable considering the price. Happy with the unit and glad I bought it. Did have an issue where I needed a component replaced because the area where the Motorad clips cracked at the back of the unit. Carpuride claim customer service was excellent. Had the replacement in a few days and communication was great. 7" is great for seeing screen but be aware it might block some of the normal screen because of the size. Happy with the unit and feel like I got what I paid for.

This is a cool device, but it didn't do what Alexa said it would do when I asked. The speakers in my RV are terrible, so i wanted to get a carplay device that worked with Bluetooth speakers. Alexa said this would work, so i tried it. It doesn't' work with Bluetooth. It works with your vehicle's existing speakers. So i had to return it. The speaker that comes with the device (the sound that comes right out of the back of the device itself) isn't very loud and i couldn't hear it at all while driving. I had it turned up as far as it would go. My RV is louder than a car though, so not sure how it would sound in a car. Its quality, just didn't work for me due to the speaker compatibility issue.

Several months in, and I love this unit. Went from a competitor's 5 inch display, to this 7". Fits my 2024 BMW R1300GS perfectly. Strong bluetooth connectivity (always a challenge on my previous 5". Performed flawlessly on a 7,000 mile "around the USA" jaunt.

I've run this unit on my daily driver BMW F750GS every day for the last year putting on about 35k miles and driving through rainstorms, snow, hail, and temperatures ranging from 10 degrees fahrenheit to 105 degrees. Also using both an iPhone and Google Pixel, for both CarPlay and Android Auto, and I will say for the most part it's been a decent unit. There certainly are some annoyances to it, for example if you turn the device on while you are on a phone call it will freak out and cause android auto to crash. Also, Siri and Google Assistant will not work correctly when you have your intercom paired directly to your phone. That being said, the basic functionality is there, and I think for most users it's a pretty good solution. Wonder Wheel control is really nice (although I will say that the button mapping for Android Auto is a bit awkward. CarPlay is considerably better for Wonder Wheel support). It pairs to your phone quickly on boot, and despite only having a 30hz refresh rate, it's more than enough for maps and music controls. My real issue, and why I'm rating it so low, is long term durability. When I bought it, I always had an issue where the unit disconnected from CAN and I lost wonder wheel support until I restarted the bike. No big deal, and I just kind of lived with it. Eventually I reached out and was provided a software update that allowed the unit to reannounce itself to the bike, so if it disconnected it just reconnected again. Fast forward to last month when I started randomly getting errors on the carpuride informing me that the battery voltage on my bike was low. The information pane on the bike reported that voltage was at 14.2v, so the bike battery, stator, and generator was all in good shape. Again, these errors were not that annoying so I just ignored them. Eventually, when I was on a road trip, the unit started powering off and rebooting. This paused my music and made phone calls impossible (due to the aforementioned call bug). Eventually, it started crashing once a minute or so, and I removed it from the nav cradle and drove the rest of the trip with no navigation. When I got home, I investigated and noticed that the pogo pins on the nav cradle had slowly worn holes into the pads on the carpuride unit. This must have been happening for a long time, and eventually the holes got large enough to the point where there was no longer enough contact with the cradle to keep it powered up. I will say, my unit has gone through more physical use and adverse conditions than most casual riders will encounter. I can't completely rule out that being a secondary cause to the failure, but still compared to BMW official hardware, I was expecting it to last a tad longer. That being said, if you don't ride your bike in harsh conditions (or are putting 30k+ miles a year on it), this will probably serve you just fine. If you are a moto savant though, you might want to invest in something more substantial.

Game changer on 2015 GS. Just worked. No worries of wet phone. I rung the bell this summer in Deadhorse and this unit just made things easier. No built in gps? Who cares, not an issue. On rare occasion of no phone signal, the phone holds the route. Maybe on one rare occasion I dealt with no phone signal and I found it nice to be disconnected… look at a big boy paper map
