My family members are destroyers of cookware, so I have bought and used many brands---from cheap stuff to high-end pans. This set has some good features but too many annoying ones. The good: Removable handles mean the set can be compactly stored in a cabinet or deep drawer, and easily moved from stovetop to oven. The pans aren't restricted to hand-wash only, dishwasher is OK too. Nice that the set includes trivets, felt stacked pads, utensils, and rubber lids for fridge storage. The annoying: These pots are very heavy; cooks with weak grip strength might struggle. The cream-colored interiors discolor easily (doesn't seem to affect cooking performance, but it's ugly). Second, the pans all have pouring notches in addition to the notch where the handle attaches; this means the glass lids do not completely seal the pans---which sometimes I do need, when cooking rice or other dishes where keeping steam inside is necessary. Third, the glass lids fog over in use (see photo). The point of a glass lid is to be able to see what you're cooking without constantly opening it, so this is a big miss in my opinion. And last, I hate the gold glittery knobs on the lids, then cheapen the look of the set and who wants gaudy plastic on kitchen pots? I have another brand of cookware similar to this one in design, but it was half the price with black nonstick interiors. Much better value and no discoloration to look at.

One thing I can't speak on yet is its longevity — always a concern with a nonstick surface. So I hope to report back positively after using this a few months. What I can tell you: 1. Compared to standard ceramic-coated cookware, this cookware set, made from titanium, feels much lighter in weight, which is a good thing if you've got a bad shoulder or arm limitations that make handling heavier cookware difficult. 2. The mobile handle is a fascinating thing, something I have never used before but I'm quickly falling in love with. At least with this CAROTE-brand set, which comes with a couple of these mobile handles, I find it super easy to move it from one pot or pan to another, and yet it also grips well, well enough that I'm not concerned about it giving out. One consideration though is if you intend to hang your cookware on a cookware rack, this would not be the set for you for the very reason that every single piece of enclosed cookware does not have its own hook or loop. That's not a negative for me since that wasn't my intention. 3. Space savings! I'm finding that one big advantage of having the removable handles is that it takes up less cabinet space than other cookware sets — especially regarding the skillets — with attached handles. That removeability makes the set much more stackable and less wide. 4. They look nice. That should count for something, right? I think so. The quality appearance makes us a good gift. 5. The set includes lots of little extra things, such as a few trivets and spatulas, all of which match the color of the cookware. Classy! One important note, possibly a dealbreaker — I'm sure you may have seen in your own home what I have seen in my own — that houseguests or family members using the kitchen will sometimes use a metal spatula or metal spoon, which causes it to scratch the surface of any nonstick surfaces. To be fair, this one looks sturdier than most, but I still think it could be a risk if someone does not use the recommended kind of accessories, such as the enclosed silicone coated utensils. So if I had a house full of teenagers still, this would likely not be the set for me. But since I don't have teens living with me, this works great! And, of great importance to me: the nonstick surface doesn't use any of those undesirable chemicals I've been reading about!
