This review will be quite long, so if you want to save some time, just look at the pictures I posted and stop reading after this next couple of lines. GET THESE SCOOTERS, and get the 25 mile versions! You won’t regret it! I have posted a lot of pics to provide close up views of the various areas of the scooter. I got a white one for my wife and I ordered the gray color for myself, hoping it would have the green decals as shown in the photos, but it came with some washed out orange decals instead. Oh well. The white came with the blue decals just as pictured in the ad. The gray is still a good looking scooter even without the green decals. There is some confusion on all the wattage ratings. If you visit the Caroma website and look at the different versions of this bike, the models they have are K1, K2, K3, and K4. The K1 and K3 are the 560 watt models, and one has 2” tires, and one has 3” tires, and they both have a 15 mile range. On the K2 and K4, one also has smaller tires and one has larger tires, but these two models have the 819 watt rating and a 25 mile range. Check before ordering to know what you’re buying! As for the 1200 watt rating they show, I have no idea where or how there is a 1200 watt rating or where they got that number. I can confirm that the motor on the K4 is 500 watts, it says that right on the motor itself, and I believe it has a peak of 819 watts in terms of power, as per the Caroma website. Ultimately it doesn’t really matter to me what the ratings are after seeing how they perform. So, about performance. We got the K4, the 819 watt models that claim to allow about a 25 mile range, and also has the 20” x 3” tires, the larger size. We rode them all over town on mostly flat terrain for about an hour that first day and then returned home and still had half the battery life left. But this also included going up some modest hills here and there too, which drains the battery faster. I’ve also seen some conflicting information about the weight limits. I’ve seen 300 pounds, and also 265 pounds. I’m unsure which it is. Both of us are heavy riders though. I am 6’1” tall and weigh about 250 on the dot and my wife is about 5’3” tall and weighs somewhat less (nope, I ain’t tellin’ exactly). We both can absolutely fly on these scooters, and she even carried our 16 pound daschund pooch in the front basket on hers as we made a trip across town to our daughter’s house. We can climb hills with ease too, although it does reduce the speed some, but just treat it like you would a bicycle and come into a hill with ample speed to start with and it’s not bad at all. We even rode them to a restaurant that first day and parked and ate dinner, then rode some more. Later we let my daughter and her husband try them. He is a big guy, over 300 pounds. He was able to ride it but not very well climbing a hill. The hill he tried it on is pretty steep though. Otherwise it worked fine for him on his short trip around the block, and my daughter had no trouble climbing the same hill, but she is significantly lighter than he is. I later took my scooter up this same hill and it went, but it was slow. I did not have to push it though, I rode it to the top. Braking on the scooter is also smooth. No adjustment was needed. Just install the front caliper (the rear caliper is already on), and it seems to be lined up just right already. Brakes are strong and it can come to a stop quick! There is a bit of noise as you ride them. It’s like a moderately high pitched whirring sound from the hum of the tires on the road. It didn’t bother me. These things are too much fun to be concerned with that. Well that covers performance. What about assembly and build quality? Here was my experience with that, along with a little tip about charging the battery for the first time (cause who wants to get a brand new scooter and then have to wait for the battery to charge to ride it tomorrow?). The tip? Start the battery charging before you even start building the scooter. When the scooters first arrived that’s what I did. I opened the boxes and removed the batteries and put them on charge immediately while I assembled both scooters themselves. The assembly took about an hour and a half with me taking my time to align the handlebars and just making sure everything was the way it needed to be. By the time I was done both batteries were charged and ready to go, so they must have had some charge in them already. But the manual says it takes a 4 hour charge time so take advantage and absorb some of that while building it. To get the batteries out, you just need to cut the keys loose from the handlebar. They’re zip tied onto it. Then put the key in the battery and turn to the left as far as it will go. This unlocks it. Then pull straight up by the flip up lift handle on the battery. Find the charger in the box and plug it in. For assembly, the scooters also come with a little set of tools to assemble them, it literally contains everything you need. The parts I had to install went on so smoothly also. No fighting with anything. Everything lined up just as it was supposed to. Just bolt it on and tighten was all I had to do. Most of the assembly is already done and what I had to do was not hard. I had to align the front fork, put the handlebars on and align them, put the front wheel and fender on, mount the headlight, front brake caliper, and the seats, and one foot peg (left off due to how it has to be packaged). That’s it. That might sound like a lot but it’s really dead simple to do. The front fork alignment was the part that took the longest because I was super picky about having it straight and centered with equal turning left and right. The fork comes turned around backwards. You loosen the lock nut on top and spin it around, align it by eye, and reinstall the nut. Make sure you are able to turn the front fork equally both directions before tightening. I had to figure that part out because the directions don’t mention it. There is a stop that prevents over rotation, and with everything loose this seems that it can be adjusted, and the front fork can be used to bump it and adjust the stopping point. One bike needed this done because it wasn’t preset to be centered. If I had left it alone the steering would have turned much farther one way than the other, so watch for that as you build it. The other scooter was almost centered already and only needed very little adjustment. The rest of the assembly is straight forward, no surprises to watch for. As for build quality, the frame on the K4 model is very robust, and I mean VERY robust! As in heavy duty robust. They absolutely did not cut corners on any part of the design or build quality at all. I dare say I’ve probably never seen another product in my 51 years of life so well designed, so well made, and so well put together. Ergonomics on the bike are fantastic. You do not ride hunched over like you do on most bicycles. I sit straight up with my arms at a comfortable height. The handles have wrist resting places built in also. Handle height is not adjustable but seat height is so you can set it so your arms are positioned how you like. If there’s one “sore” point on these bikes, it is the seat itself. But it goes on like a standard bicycle seat so I plan to just find a good oversized bicycle gel seat and replace it. Quality wise though, the seat is solid, padded, covered in a leathery rubbery material (unsure which) and feels very durable. Someone half my weight and age would have no issues. But after an hour of riding, I was pretty sore. So I’m already shopping around for a nice seat. Overall, we love these scooters. Value for the money, this is one time I really feel that we got more than we paid for. Even the company seems to be great to deal with. I emailed them and asked about buying extra batteries to extend the ride time and range. I’ll just strap them onto the rear seat and carry it as an extra. They emailed me a link on Amazon where I could buy the batteries but that link showed they were unavailable. I emailed back and told them this and they said please check again. So I looked again and they had changed it to show two batteries in stock just for me and I immediately bought both for $100 each and free shipping. This is top notch customer service from an excellent company on an excellent product. BUY THESE! You won’t regret it. They’re sooooo much fun!

great packaging and delivery was quick. I bought two for my wife and I , they are awesome. Putting them together was easy and pretty straight forward, they include a tool set to complete set up of the scooter. These scooters go all of 20 mph and I am 200 lbs and they go for ever on a single charge. we both love them and wish we bought sooner. Wish they would added a tail light.

I absolutely love mine, and it's definitely been worth the price. With that being said, it's not perfect either. It would greatly benefit from some rear suspension. You feel every bump in the road, but as long as the road is smooth, so is the ride. The stock tires are pretty flimsy. I got a flat my second time out. I highly recommend getting a nice set of Ultraverse tires, and replacing the factory ones immediately. I also added a rearview mirror to mine, and I couldn't imagine not having one. I also recommend adding more lights, front and back. The battery and motor are great so far, and work as advertised. The frame is sturdy and well built. 20 mph might not sound like much, but I promise, it's all you need in the city. I also added some saddle bags for cargo. All in all, I'm very satisfied with mine. Sure, it could be better in some areas, but it could also cost a lot more

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using the Caroma Peak 560W electric scooter with a seat for a bit now and honestly, I’m really happy with it. The speed tops out around 20 mph which feels quick enough for city riding but still safe, and the acceleration is pretty smooth. I’ve been getting around 25 miles on a full charge. I mainly use it for short commutes and it’s been super convenient. What makes this one stand out is definitely the fat tires and the seat, it rides more like a small electric bike than a traditional scooter. It’s way more comfortable, especially on uneven pavement or small bumps, and the adjustable seat is actually a nice touch. The suspension isn’t fancy but it helps, and overall the ride feels really stable. It came mostly assembled and setup was quick. The foldable handlebars are great for storage or tossing it in the car, and the little basket on the back is more useful than I thought it would be. Build quality feels solid, nothing rattly or cheap about it and I love that the battery is removable, makes charging way easier. The brakes are responsive AND Lights are bright enough for evening rides too, which is nice for safety. All in all, it’s a fun and functional ride. I think it’s a great deal way better than I expected. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something easy to ride and good for short trips.

I went from a e-bike to this scooter, I had no idea how much that not having pedal assist would make a difference...I miss it ... would give it three and a half if I could.. if it was a little bit cheaper by 100 I would give it five stars
