  • This Tripod commands a premium investment. However, once you handle it, you’ll understand why! This Tripod commands a premium investment. However, once you handle it, you’ll understand why!
Yunjitonn Carbon Fiber Tripod - This Tripod commands a premium investment. However, once you handle it, you’ll understand why! It is an exceptional tripod. It’s solidly built, presents gorgeously and weighs a mere 1.6 Kg. From the ground up, every appointment is approached with engineered purpose. Professionals and advanced amateurs alike will appreciate the brilliant design aspects. To begin, it is truly carbon fiber constructed using a 10-Layer Carbon Fiber arrangement in a 32.5mm nesting tube layout. Note, this is not a carbon fiber wrap over aluminum! This is the real deal. Carbon fiber is much stronger structurally than its same weighted steel counterpart. Therefore, the user gains a lot of strength without enduring the weight penalty. Those who trek with their gear will intimately understand and appreciate this point! Secondly, the tripod possesses a ton of user adjustments. When collapsed into its smallest configuration, the tripod only measures 24” overall with extending legs that track between 21.5” to 68”. And the leg adjustment system is ingenious. Rather than using a ratcheting gear like many tripods, this system uses metal slide locks and trapping joints to hold the leg positions. Essentially, this system leverages the tripod’s loaded weight and combined friction to keep the structure in place while presenting rock-solid stability. Also note, like any other tripod, this can be knocked over. However, the user can essentially forget about a gear failing and sending your equipment to the ground. This is a better setup. And lastly, this beast is rugged. The carbon fiber tubing is beefy at almost 33mm and the system uses metal throughout logically. Fasteners and locks that will be routinely handled are metal; noting that all of the actuators are machined fabulously and move and lock up as expected. In my opinion, in our day and age too many things deploy way too much plastic. And many feel that It’s difficult relying on something that might literally come apart in your hands when you least expect it to fail. So it is refreshing handling an item with a respectful nod to old world metal quality and engineering standards. And truthfully, it’s just a stunning piece visually. If you can’t tell already, take note that I like this item a lot! It oozes quality and refinement; and its combined functionality will inspire confidence in its use. I will personally use this tripod with gear that tops out over 40 lbs. It is a relief knowing that at 40 lbs. the Yunjitonn is barely breaking its halfway load limit. That’s what I mean about quality. And keep in mind you get all of this under 3.5 lbs. Pros & Specs: • True Carbon Fiber and mostly Metal Construction – 10 Layer Carbon Fiber arrangement in a 32.5mm Tube • Large 46mm Locking and All Metal ARCA Swiss Ball Head • Control nuts are metal • Tripod legs can be completely set ground plain level. • Collapsed Height overall – 24” • Longest Leg Extension = 68” • Smallest Leg Extension = 21.5” • Smallest stable footprint circumference available = approximately 57.6” / 162 square inches • Two Different Bubble Levels for Horizontal and Vertical • Non-Ratcheting legs with Metal sliding Locks • 3 – Large Rotating Extension Bushing Locks on each leg. • Legs are removable – for either utility, upgrades or parts replacement • Rubber feet are removable. Replacement studs or spikes may be substituted, if desired. • Approximately 1.6 Kilograms • Maximum 80 lbs support Load Limit. • Arrives with a nicely constructed padded carrying bag. • The system carries a lifetime warranty on service. • (Intangible) – Many might experience a certain pride of ownership Cons: • It ain’t the cheapest filly on the circuit. – Acquisition Investment • The ARCA Swiss ball head is integrated into the tripod’s top. This head is not necessarily easily replaceable like traditional screw in/on ball heads. In conclusion, I strongly declare that this is probably one of the best tripods in the market. - I recommend this item. And I own some expensive and well known brands, so I know my stuff. Is the initial investment reachable for everyone? Well, only you can determine that… However, once you lay your hands on this, you’ll know exactly why that extra-investment was likely a wise choice. When facing dilemmas like the above, I generally fall back on a physical pros vs. cons written list. I evaluate my actual needs and determine the traded value of my time invested to earn the money vs. the leveraged power of that money. If I truly need, and will benefit from the product, then I apply the axiom: BUY ONCE – cry once. It’s worth every penny! ... show more

  • Sturdy and adjustable Sturdy and adjustable
The reason I went for 4 stars on this tripod is the price which is a little higher than other brands unfortunately. On the other hand, as you see in my pictures, all 3 legs are made with real carbone fiber which looks gorgeous and they are super sturdy. Also, the quick release camera or gun holder is very useful and makes set up easier. Moreover, the height is adjustable which has an excellent height for any purposes. Besides, the telescopic legs have clamps which holds the firmly and lock very well. ... show more

  • A very great high end tripod! A very great high end tripod!
A pretty solid tripod! I can't really say it's my favorite, but I do think this would come in handy if youre traveling or going for a hike. It's extremely light and easy to carry although it is pretty bulky compared to the average carbon fiber tripod. This thing goes up extremely high and gets down really low which I truly love. As a videographer, this tripod pretty much covers everywhere I need it to be. It's relatively adjustable, not as adjustable as other video tripods, yeah extending the legs is easy, but not having a proper full on video tripod ball head top is a bit tricky. The bubble level actually comes in handy and so far has been extremely accurate, but I still personally rely on the level system in my camera for this since it really helps you center your shot. There aren't any real cons in this tripod to me other than the lack of a proper video or photography styled ball head, but there is one thing that worries me. As I said, this tripod is extremely light. It's fun to carry it around and REALLY easy to pick it up. With that being said however, it feels really really easy to tip over. None of my tripods are this way. It only takes one light tap and the legs come off the ground. Is this a big deal? Not for me since I always shoot on set, but if your goal is to shoot outdoors, this might end up being extremely annoying. Another thing, I'm not entirely sure if I would personally pay this much if my main goal was to just use cameras instead of other equipment. There's probably better camera tripods at this price point. However, price aside, I love it! ... show more

  • Lightweight, Strong, and Versatile Lightweight, Strong, and Versatile
The YUNJITONN carbon fiber tripod is lightweight and super strong. The tripod is built to hold 80 pounds of weight and only weighs 3.5 pounds. This is a refined, well-made piece of equipment. The carbon fiber looks awesome. The carbon fiber tubes are made of ten layers of carbon fiber. The tripod came inside a padded carry bag that can be worn on the back. The height is completely adjustable. The legs grow from 26 to 64.17 inches, and they are strong. This is a versatile tripod and with a quick release clamp. A few of the items that can connect are rifles, telescopes and cameras of all kinds. Anything you may need a tripod for. I really like the quality of this tripod. It is very well-engineered, strong and only weighs 3.5 pounds. The level is a good feature. I like that it has a lifetime warranty. I really like how versatile the tripod is. It is the only tripod I will need. It's easy to store and perfect for travel. ... show more
