I just got it in today, the electronic tuner worked perfectly! It came undamaged, and had fresh batteries already put in the ukulele. It comes with fresh batteries, too! The tone is warm, clear and pleasant, no part of this feels cheap or fragile. This does not have a glossy finish, but it feels very comfortable in the hands. Speaking of hands, I have big ones, and the neck is wide enough to feel immediately more comfortable than the smaller one I have been practicing on. I will practice daily with this one from now own. I might get a more expensive one as a reward for mastering it in a few years, but this one is not cheap or forgettable on its own. If I was told this was the last ukulele I could ever get, I could be satisfied. I am also quite thrilled to have the guitar pins under the bridge as well, because I don't want to tie anything (huge fingers) or take it in to a store. Which reminds me, I should also pick up a guitar string winding tool while I am at it. The strap fits well, is adjustable, and has quality construction, although the colors are very bright and the pattern may not be everyone's style. I like it regardless, it was free. I have not yet attached it to the amp, but I don't need to do so to appreciate the value for the cost it has given me.

Love this ukulele hundred times better then my KALA I bought with built in pick-up. easy to press strings down sounds great looks great feel, great sound with AMP loud and clear no buss comes with nice padded bag for it with extra strings etc. wish I would of bought this and not the KALA price was even cheaper then KALA. Don't be afraid to get this 1 and I got 7 other ukuleles and brands but this one just made top of the list as my favorite. Well made to oh comes with strap and strap buttons already on and I mean both buttons. This ukulele has got it everything going for it. Thanks

I’m a newbie so my Uke terminology may not be accurate but i’ll do my best to be clear. That being said, there are some pros and cons on my purchase of this Uke. I’ll start with the pros: It’s pretty :-) It appears to be very well made and does not look or feel like a cheapie. The sides of the fretboard are nice and smooth. This Uke feels nice to hold. It came with the strap buttons and a strap, which is nice to have. The (4) string tuners operate smoothly and seem to be well made. I especially appreciate the built-in electronic tuner and pickup jack, and that cord was included. I’ve used the electronic tuner a lot and it seems to work well. It did come with batteries installed as well as a spare set, a nice touch! Cons: There are a few design differences compared to the ad media… the saddle style looks completely different from what is advertised. The head of the Uke is completely different from what is advertised, (although the one it came with is actually better looking). The fretboard appears not to be walnut as advertised, the material used is black and there is no visible wood grain. The ad photo shows a truss wrench in the included accessories, which of course led me to believe that the Uke has an adjustable truss… it does not, nor was there a wrench included. The rosette has a couple flaws (but not enough to make me return it). The bundle image showed a wall hanger, this was not included. There was a soft case included, although it’s not the same one shown in the sales media. There is a small screw that is either halfway in or halfway out, on one of the tuners (see photo). The strings that were pre-installed sounded very tinny and hurt my fingertips, i replaced the strings with Ernie Ball black strings with a low g, it sounds and feels 100% better! Overall, I’m enjoying this Uke and feel that it is a fine instrument for me to get started on :-) Although i do think that Caramel needs to update the listing for this Butterfly Bocote Tenor Ukulele.

This is a beautiful instrument. It has a bright sharp sound, somewhat similar to the Koa ukuleles from Hawaii and quite different from spruce top ukuleles which sound more like a guitar played at high frets. The craftsmanship on the ukulele is flawless. Matte finish is perfect, beautiful wood patterns match perfectly on the butterfly veneers including the headstock. Tuners move smoothly and keep strings in tune. Frets are nicely finished and level. Action was set up near perfect on the tenor I received, low enough to play easily (and keep intonation under control) but not too low to cause any buzzing issues. The strings that came with the ukulele were also good quality and stopped stretching and kept the tuning after only after a day. The built in tuner is accurate and easy to use.

Sopranino cases and gig bags are pretty rare, so I was thrilled to find this. I bought it for my Rubin solid cedar top sopranino ukulele, which measures 17 3-4" long. The bag fits perfectly. Nice and snug but not too tight. The ukulele easily slips in and out. It's fully padded on top, bottom and sides, although the padding is fairly thin. It's nicely structured. Both the main zipper and pocket zipper work well. It has a comfortable hand grip and a back strap for slipping over your shoulder. All, in all it's a great little bag at a great price. Just a note--these go out of stock frequently, so if you're thinking of buying it, don't hesitate.

Very pretty ukulele with a beautiful mellow sound. The dark look is very striking and the little details (ie black tubing machines) really bring it together. Sounds really nice acoustic but REALLY shines when it’s plugged into a good acoustic amp. As a beginning player, I find it super helpful to plug in and play “at myself” so I can hear my mistakes more clearly and correct them. Materials, finish, build quality are all excellent. Included accessories are good quality and packed in a nice zippered cloth bag.

I love this brand and its instruments. The tenor ukulele has worked beautifully for me as a professional musician. The tuning is great and it has a nice tone. I also bought a Caramel guitalele and I love it, too! The instruments are so fun to play.
